Last games are usually all rushed, or squeezed in for some extra bucks. That's why most of them look questionable or are straight up irrelevant. I cannot say the same for all the consoles tho; in the NES, while the Lion King might not be very impressive, other late releases like Kirby's Adventure and Wario's Woods look fantastic

In that case, indies or smaller studios may release lower-profile games for an inactive system long after all the major developers have moved on to new systems. In addition, some of these late releases were made more for niche notoriety and publicity than profit, which are not appealing or particularly profitable for the big studios.

Yeah, the people (person?) at VBlank are complete madmen. Shakedown Hawaii was made AFTER all the Wii services shut down, so they had to make a special physical version for the console. This is not unusual for them, as they did the game for their previous game Retro City Rampage, where they made a version that ran on *MS-DOS* and distributed it via a floppy disk. During the Xbox 360 era. I believe the DOS version actually contains the entire game too (and it's pretty big!) - the only thing missing is the music.

You're technically right, but it was just an inspiration. The only things in WarioWare that originate from Mario Artist are just a few minigames from the extra mode Sound Bomber (the actual game was about creating and rendering 3D Polygon Models) , so I don't think a change this major in genre, gameplay and artstyle would justify counting Mario Artist as a WarioWare prequel

Nope, it was Silver Falls and it was a digital-only game made shortly before the shut down of the eshop, so a very short window to get it. Sungrand Studios is the developer and he made tons of videos on this proces of getting it available just in time.

@@Mrtyjr There was a Silver Falls game released on 3DS and Wii U at the tail end of both system's support from Nintendo. Both of which were very different from one another. The 3DS one was a 3D game, and the Wii U one had Atari 2600 pixel art.

The latest GBA game (also the only one to be released in 2008 unless you count fan games like a Super Mario game even I forgot the name of and Sonic the Hedgehog GBA which was supposed to enhanced version of Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis but turned out to be a demo where you can only play through Green Hill Zone) before its resurgence was actually the English version of Samurai Deeper Kuo (plus what about all the other launch titles beyond the “one launch title per console” rule)? Otherwise, cool video!

The 2ds was just a downgrade from the 3ds and is still in the 3ds family. Usually when someone says 3ds they refer to the 3ds family or a specific model. The 2ds plays 3ds games but without the 3d so technically he didnt miss a thing. The 3ds family is 3DS 2DS 3DS XL NEW 3DS NEW 3DS XL NEW 2DS XL

The first and last Game Boy game are also the most common to find in the junk sections of used shops here other than Tamagotchi games. Huge sellers in the past so Nintendo knew what they were doing!
