My Vesk, Zratash Hullbreaker, was a Marine Combat Engineer-turned-high risk salvage operator. He was highly trained in breaking into hulls, compromising systems, and general demolition and repair. If you needed someone to clear out a derelict full of zombies, patch up the leaky reactor core, and extract it for refurbishment and resale, he was your lizard. He and his clan traditionally revered Sarenrae as the Firescale rather than Damoritosh. They operated a big salvage station called The Bask in a close solar orbit within a system full of the wrecked remnants of a massive threeway fleet action. Zratash was loyal to the Veskarium but fervently believed that conquering the Pact Worlds was the last thing they should do - the Pact Worlds provided a dynamic rivalry and challenge to keep the Vesk sharp in healthy competition, and subjugating them was a path to stagnation. They were FAR more valuable as trade partners and rivals.

That +2 STR, +2 DEX, -2 CHA Warblood variant is miles better at being a stereotypical soldier than the core build. Synergy on both melee and ranged attack stats so you're more versatile and you aren't saddled with a crippling lack of skill points from an 8 starting INT. The low-gee build gives them a viable Mechanic/Technomancer build, which is nice. Having the "born and raised in space" Vesk being way smarter than their ancestors feels like a nod to the lizardmen in Spelljammer. They were noted for their broodships, which carried clutches of eggs into Wildspace as part of a eugenics program to produce smarter lizardmen, since hatching out near the local star apparently made them brighter than the ones from dirtside swamps.

I didn't know some of that history from the spell jammer, but the options for the race are really nice. Again this is a really lore dense race from starfinder.

My 4th Level Vesk Soldier is almost at Level 5,can't wait to Level up. He is nicknamed Groo by his teammates, if he ever figures out what they mean, he will be ticked off.

10:22 a quibble on Vesk Venom - venom and poison aren’t synonyms. Venom is generally injected while poison is ingested. If it bites you and you die it’s venom, if you bite it and you die is poison. There are some creatures that are both venomous and poisonous.

Here's a question, what kind of musical instruments would Vesk play? They don't have lips, so wind instruments are pretty much out, and claws make string instruments pretty tricky too. Maybe something with keys? I could see them loving sticks too, so they could be really into drums.

I have a Varculak Witchwyrd that "Somehow" become a Lich, luckily I'm high leveled in a few classes (due to our GM letting us port characters over) anywho I saved a large group of vesk from a human who betrayed them, they swore to serve me to the death, and now me and my merry band of vesk wander the stars, "collecting" specimens for...reasons My friends call me trayzin 2.0, but I know they mean well by it "hippity hopitty you are now my property" Tranazk the Eternal

Valara is a large female Vesk, standing 8ft at the shoulder, a body of solid muscle covered in bright green scales, subdued somewhat by the tinted translucent heavy armor she wears like a second skin. The armor allows the light from chromatophores embedded in her skin to illuminate through in precisely controlled ever-shifting patterns and colors, and has etched across her broad chest the words “VALARA KNOWS BEST” in Common and a jetpack/backpack hybrid with an arsenal of polearms within easy reach of her immaculately manicured claws. Her frame is topped with an expressive reptilian face that is mostly a toothy beak, surrounded by a vibrantly colored mottled frill. A camera floats nearby on a small anti gravity platform, the largest of a small constellation of Aeon Stones and recording devices that orbit her.
