I remember when they were first installing cable in our neighborhood. For some odd reason our street was one of the last ones to have it installed. My friends were telling me about a channel called MTV. I would look outside everyday to see if they were installing it yet. I remember it was the first remote control we ever had. If you count the channel changer being wired to the TV by a 20 foot cord. It looked like an old Texas Instruments calculator. And I vividly remember this video and loving it.

America.....what i like about this song is how the background singers give it a "Valley Girl " like touch while the lead singer reminds me of "Cars" singer Gary Newman. The best part is at the end where the background ladies repeats the chorus & what appears to be another lady doing a extended solo ......this song came out beautifully.
