PBBM take on WPS is not more of tactical but strategic. The building of new alliances with Japan, Australia, India in addition to the MDT with the US is a strategic genius of PBBM that outsmarted Xi Jinping and his military think tank - making a small country, the Philippines very powerful militarily and collectively with alliances stronger than China. This says a lot of PBBM administration compared to the others or previous administrations. As a side note, PBBM is still indebted to the Duterte's because it was during FPRRD's administration when PFEM (Apo Lakay) was finally buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani. For PBBM, this is huge consideration to ponder on Duterte's fate regarding the EJK issue.

I have seen this news about Ayungim shoal incident repeatedly and honestly I feel dumbfounded to see that Ph forces done nothing about it... Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is if you are in the force and someone come and try to get your arms you will defend it with your life... you are entitled to protect yourself and in some cases you have to take out the threats... they didn't even fire a warning shot and let them board their boat, They may be following orders to be tolerable but that situation seems to be past that threshold, they may have followed their order from someone sitting in their asses but they didn't follow their mandate and duty to protect the rights of every Filipino, their safety, to see that on the news is actually embarrassing and nothing to be proud of...They even get a medal for giving up their arms and getting boarded? This is just a personal opinion I hope they do more next time in asserting our rights and protect the integrity of our territory.

According to Commodore Tarriela, the objective of the Chinese was to damage the rubber boats, it's just that emotions were high that's why the putol daliri happened. While I agree w/u that we should stand our ground & defend our rights, we don't have the military capabilities. The MDF will not be automatically invoked, too. The pagtitimpi and obeying the chain of command is worth a medal because God knows how easy it is to give in.
