There isn't a clear favourite in a final. Inter could well have equalised against City in a supposedly one sided final if Lukaku was more accurate. Normally the team that wins these sorts of tournaments start slowly and improve steadily until they give their best in the last game. Spain don't have any idea what is the ceiling of their opponent.

England fans went into this tournament with a lot of optimism and rightly so... we had the Prem and La Liga Player of the Year and Europe's top goalscorer. But the sh1t sandwiches that Gareth served us during the group stages changed our perception of the team. Many of us no longer expected to progress beyond the quarters. During the Slovakia game, I'd already made peace with being knocked out, until that Jude miracle moment. From then on, every single moment has been a bonus. Win or lose, England have exceeded my expectation but the resilience that England have shown in coming back has made me believe again! Now we get to support our country in another major Final. No debate, Spain ARE the favourites but England are no minnows... and what ever has happened in the tournament prior to this Final is irrelevant now. It's about who steps on the day and history has shown that it's not always the favourite who takes the cup home... Denmark 1992, Greece 2004, Portugal 2016 and of course... Italy 2021! Spain have beaten Croatia, Italy, Germany & France Whereas England where seconds away from going out against Slovakia & needed a miracle, beat Switzerland on penalties & needed a dubious penalty decision against Holland who finished 3rd in their group & lost to Austria, this final is going to be something like Euro 2012 where Spain beat Italy 4-0 however I'm going for a 3-1 Spain win. Its only England fans who think they will win & fair enough if you reach the final however you do it you have to believe but its going to take a miracle & loads more luck to overcome Spain. This is where England's luck will run out, England will give it a go and might make it a more closer game but I can't see anything other than a Spanish victory which will be fully deserved.
