Races are not defined by color only. Most blacks in America have a lot of different races in their DNA as do whites. Jews in Germany had a mixture of races in their DNA. We should all see how ridiculous it is to define anyone by their color and begin to educate those who focus on color as race only. I was raised in Detroit and half my friends were black but I never noticed it until I was taught to notice it when Black people burned down hundreds of businesses in Detroit in the 60's. We had to flee our neighborhood and go North to survive. I had to leave my black friends behind and it was very traumatizing. This matter actually exposes the poor understanding of the matter of race that prevades human society. Being Jewish isn't about a specific race (and "race" doesn't have a definite definition) as not even those who claim to be Jewish can all agree on what being Jewish actually is. What there was underpinning the Holocaust was what is referred to as antisemitism... Which defines a hostility to, prejudice towards, or discrimination against people generally perceived as "...Jews...". But be clear... During WW2, there were people who were killed as a part of the Holocaust simply because they gave aid to people perceived as "...Jews..." (reference Corrie Ten Boom). It should also be noted that the Nazis were carrying out a type of eugenics which included the killing of people with mental disabilities. To be a Jew would require a person being a direct descendent of one of the sons of Jacob, who later became named Israel (this is impossible to determine/confirm as there is no DNA available), or be a citizen of the nation of Judah (which hasn't existed for some 2,500 years), or be an adherent of/hold to the religion of Judaism. There is some thinking that being Jewish can be a matter of culture too. Suffice to say... Apart from holding to the religion of Judaism, no one can really have a valid claim to being Jewish... And even then, there are many differing thoughts on just what defines the religion of Judaism... Keeping in mind that it is impossible to actually keep the Torah (the law give by God to Moses for the Israelites) as there is no temple in Jerusalem to keep the requirements in (blood sacrifices). And yes, I understand that those who today claim to be Jews believe that forgiveness of sin is obtained through repentance, prayer, and good deeds. But this is just a human contrived fix... It is not according to the law God gave to Moses... Which tells us that blood must be shed for the forgivness of sin. So all this said... Given all the lack of real clarity regarding the matter of a Jewish race, religion, culture... Whoppi was not wrong in saying that the Holocaust was about man's inhumanity to man... Because that was exactly what it was. And scripturally speaking... That is exactly what we have at the very beginning of the Hebrew bible, in Cain's killing of his brother, Abel. Even in the story of Adam and Eve we have a type of man's inhumanity to man, as God told Adam that if he ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would surly die. I guess Adam thought he knew better than God... Which is to say... Spiritually speaking... Adam treated himself inhumanely. And the above are just two references regarding man's inhumanity to man that are within the Hebrew bible... There are many, many more. Well Barbie Whoopi has defended Bill Cosby but withdrew support after backlash and if you look at what she said about Roman Polanski's rape of a 13 year old as not a real rape.... Whoopi has said 100 things that would have got anyone else straight up fired. What she said this time was racist and insensitive as all hell. Never downplay or deny the holocaust because it was one of the worst events in human history and by a standard of time in human history it was pretty recent. This woman should be straight fired.

I could never be a public figure, you have to be very deliberate with your words. I don’t think Whoopi meant to dismiss or deny what sparked the Holocaust. And I appreciate their response. That have nothing to do with that, Gina Carano was fired by Disney for what she posted about the Holocaust, Sharon Osbourne was suspended and later fired for what she says and her conduct on air. Rosanne was fired and her show cancelled for what she twitted, Meghan Kelly was fired and her show cancelled for her remarks about black face If you are harsh with one group, you have to be with everyone, and what Whoopi say was ignorant and she double down on her remarks on Colbert and on the view. They all agree that this could have been a teachable moment educating not only her but the audience about the Holocaust in a segment on the show, some people believe that the Holocaust is a lie.

I live in the county in Tennessee that took the book down, and they said they took the book down for 8th grade classes, they were not taking the book off of public libraries or anything like that, they just felt that the book was to much for that grade. And honestly the ladies on the view need to stop assuming so much because when one of them said that they are talking the book down because it makes white people look bad in history is ridiculous, the view has also went after other celebrities who had said way less worst things then Whoopi and said they should be fired for those hateful remarks... It used to be, but then they found out they could make more money if they put in personalities that were liable to clash. Hence why some of the discussions are on par with the real housewives. I would be willing to give it a second chance if they found a moderator who was actually moderate, and the remaining four cohosts belong to more than two parties. For instance, one Democrat, one Republican (a real Republican, none of this downplay the insurrection nonsense), a green, a libertarian (preferably pro science), and maybe just for shits and giggles’s a representative from Andrew Yang’s new forward party.
