Dude I'm not even a guitarist and the information you provide here is 100% useful to me and my arranging. Cheers from a pianist!

You make it look so easy. Watched the video, thought "yes I can do that," picked up the guitar...... back to watching the video again......

You can do it! Just keep experimenting. What tune are you trying to use the effect with?

Ok beyond ... cause i dont know your name... I love your teaching style... thanks bro! I totally agree with something you've said before; its not talent, its discipline, practice and dedication to routine. I was a rock and blues guy but since learning Tarrega, Debussey, De Lucia, Amigo and Chopin, I am hooked on classical and flamenco and I've broken through it with hard work and self belief. Thanks for your contribution to my journey. I'm going to clue up on Villa Lobos, thanks to you!

As part of the monthly challenge for your Arrangers Academy, I added a repeating harmonic on the 12th fret of the 1st string as an homage to Leo Brouwer's "Un Dia de Noviembre". Funny enough that was on my minor version of mary had a little lamb.

When I saw the Lion King Live in London the orchestra sneakily played a section of Smetana's Moldau when timon was being flushed down a river (the whole song is about a river) it was an amazing Easter egg and I swear I was the only one who realized. I had a little nerd freak out and looked around and people probably thought I was crazy.

Hey I got a serious question. I have been learning guitar for about a year and i always used my fingernail to pick but I cant keep them long due to breakage. So I keep having to stop playing till I got my picks back. So here is my question: How do you keep your nails so tidy and prevent brakes?
@giri80813 жыл бұрын
I'm not Nathan obviously but I had this same problem back in my classical guitar student days, my nails were naturally so brittle - sounds silly but things like properly cut and filed nails, a good diet (mg/zn supplements if needed) and moisturising my hands before bed really turned my nails around! Hope this helps :)

Amazing video as always! It really is a cool technique to have in a tool box, I could definitely start implementing it since I just can't get the clean tremolo. But why is tremolo so difficult?
