In this vlog we are with are with the island rugby team Moturiki Young Boys. There are ready to challenge the defending champions Siwai at Nasau Park, Levuka Town in Ovalau Island.
The challenge as they call it was postponed due to bad weather so it was moved to a week later. This is the first challenge of the year.
This vlog shows how a little remote island goes through in order to play a rugby match.

Vinaka Uraia. Good try boy. Still a fantastic effort. I have played 7s on that field for Tokou village in the mid 80s. I happen to be the only non Fijian in the tournament. We won ... we did play moturiki. DDD - Details Defence Discipline.

Its always like that when a Moturiki team plays an Ovalau team, from the olden days till now.They always keep firing at each other till the end..I dont know why,maybe because most players frm both sides know each other.Whether they play in Nasau Park Levuka or in Suva,it mostly electrifies like that.Even though they are in two different divisions in Fiji rugbys last 2 eras.But whenever they meet,its like a test match for both sides. Na valataki vanua bula rau dau caka...I remember in one of those yrs 2000 or 2001 we(Moturiki) beat Ovalau Development 15s twice at Nasau Park..Their(Ovalau) main team went on to beat Lautoka in 2002 nd being the first Island team to sail the Fairbrother(Fijis most prestigious rugby trophy)away from Viti Levu..
