another travelogue by Morris , all the lovely places to visit in England in your new Morris car, lots of footage of England long gone. Another gem from the Morris cine dept.

My God England was a beautiful country, I have been to a number of these villages and most thankfully are still lovely. Interesting that Morris themselves describe their own car as modest, so traditionally English, I fear we are becoming a less tasteful and brasher nation?

The irony is that the motor car has ruined these villages, yellow and white lines and signs on posts everywhere, every garden and green turned into a parking place!

First they point out the Whipping Post . . . Next expectation was to locate the Gallows, Courts and Jails of subsequent villages. Totally lost me there. Morris Garages had no clue as to how they could showcase their product compared to Austin's recently uploaded English Countryside film showing their complete 1930's fleet.
