Snake River Reel, both the tune and the contradance, are by Peter Lippincott, a native of Rockford, Illinois, who wrote them while living in St. Louis, Missouri. Peter was President of the Folk Song Club at the University of Illinois, back in whatever day that was. You can find him on Facebook.
