The Vintage 2024 - Classic BMW Heaven!

The best car show I've ever been to, consistently. The Vintage is an awesome weekend in the mountains culminating with a car show on the grass in Hot Springs, NC.
Thanks to everyone who I spoke to, waved at, helped organize or sponsor the event, and anyone who attended and made the day what it was. I had a blast and I'm already counting the days until next year. Cheers

Very nice footage again Wes, and superb editing…😎 I was thinking while watching what a dream it would be to join you all at such a meeting, but that is impossible being a Dutch cheese head. And what did I see at 20:50…😱 A Dutch Alpina B8 4.6, an E36 I believe…WOW How is that possible??? And the drone footage is so cool! Thanks a lot, I enjoyed the whole video. The alpina e36 with the 4.6L v8 - I had seen that car in New Jersey the week before, meaning he also drove it the 800 miles to North Carolina! So cool. Thanks for watching 🎉

@@vanheestvisual Thanks for your reply…👌 I saw a Dutch license plate on the Alpina and checked it here in the Netherlands. It says P-792-XT and it’s registered here, very interesting to know how that car came there. Maybe the owner reed here and can tell us an exiting story. It was at 20:50 in the video. I will add the meeting to my bucket list butt visiting New York is one of my biggest dreams. Wen I have the stars aligned (💶💶💶) I will let you know, I buy you the best coffee in town and we’re going to eat the pretzel of all pretzels at my cost…☕️🥨 Same for your girlfriend, I agree with her, coffee is a must…😅 But first a have to finish the restoration of my E34 and my goodness, Money Money Money…It fly’s away and it’s a never ending story …🤣🏁

Yours is the nicest E34 from the bunch. I dig those old NY plates. How are you still running them? I have 20th century plates on my E34 too. Are you headed to the Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Labor Day wknd? Huge BMW turnout especially Sunday.

Thank you!! In NY it’s called “vintage plates” and the process is super simple. I actually bought these plates off eBay and then it only cost 4 dollars at the dmv but changed your registration from 2 years to 1 year renewal. So I guess it’s actually more than 4 dollars 😝 I’d love to get up to lime rock for the vintage fest. I’ve not been able to make it yet. Sounds awesome!

@@vanheestvisual Nice. For CT it's YOM program. I have a pair on mine, hard to get pairs. It's not easy getting approval from DMV in CT. Cool hope you can make it. Vintage at Saratoga in Oct, is another great event, actually the largest vintage BMW show in NE.
