It's just another one of those China copies every other famous properties and then adds an obvious twist to it like making it a "souls-like" or "this time, it's also a survival RPG, with craftings" in order to make the game a "unique-ly inspired" advanced knock off instead of just a straight out of the gate simple knock off. Not to mention a lot of the new "unique" 3D arts and assets were probably highly referenced from AI generated images and videos (allegedly of course) in order to save time and money since generative AI has been crazy popular in China ever since its inception ethics be damned.

To be fair this is nothing new for a Chinese game, this particular game is just getting a lot more attention than most because it's being released outside of China. After watching some of the gameplay it made me think of Palworld/survival game base with maybe a bit of Monster Hunter DNA covered in a horizon zero dawn skin. After Palworlds success I wouldn't be surprised if we see a few more like this, though maybe with a less obvious visual style ripoff. Gotta give them props for the trailer though, it got people talking about a game I probably never would have heard of otherwise.

If it ends up being a good and fun game, who cares? Just because Horizon had the first game with popular robot animals and dinosaurs, it doesn't mean it can be done again. Granted it's EXTREMELY similar, but at the same time there's very few ways to NOT have it be similar. Horizon had Tropical, Savanah, Snow and Desert Biomes.... No game can attempt the same without being labeled a copycat.
