Is it really up to $500 for an extra 30 to 60 days? I thought it was only like $500 to renew your your visa for a full year! No one can afford that, no one would ever stay a full year in the Philippines! Would it reset if you left the country and went to Malaysia and then came back the next day?

Your videos are always so informing on these hot topics! My sister in-law came from China in 2018 for a 90 day visit & stayed to join the family. The best thing that occurred was she was granted her green card on the first try! The two biggest factors was they hired a good immigration attorney & submitted all of the required documentation, or gathered it very quickly. She came over in November, I married her to my brother in January & she had her green card by May or June. This is a good Segway for Gracie's services.

When we had our interview with immigration here in Los Angeles many years ago, our interviewer happened to be Filipino. Near the end of the interview, my wife began asking him if he was single and if so would he like to meet one of her Filipina friends? I was like "Are you serious, are you really trying to fix up our interviewer right now?" So we proceeded to argue in front of him about the appropriateness of her trying to introduce him to someone. He basically just smiled and politely declined her offer and then laughed and said something to the effect of "Yep, you guys are really married"....LOL True Story!!! Many countries in Latin America are still very welcoming for retirees, with no silly $10k (or more) deposit requirements.
@neilis24053 жыл бұрын
I mean you're not PAYING $10k - you're just making a deposit. Most countries with a retirement Visa are going to require some type of proof of financial stability - either a deposit into a local account or proof of a certain level of monthly income. Basically, they're doing you a favor by allowing you into the country - they want to make sure you're a benefit to their economy and not a drain on it.

You look lovely as always, Pea. I enjoyed your video but I was surprised more of the conversation didn't center around individuals with COVID vaccinations (regardless of country of origin). Right now, in the U.S., you get a government ID card that documents the date and type of vaccine you received. And while the IATA is still working on their Travel Pass Initiative, which is designed to help people travel freely internationally with one standardized vaccine ID system, I'm betting the Philippine government will soon start accepting and recognizing U.S. government vaccine ID cards. Earlier this week, I managed to get my first Moderna vaccine injection. So I'm now just 30 days from getting the second injection and being immunized from COVID19. I'll definitely be contacting your immigration experts to see if they can offer advice on how a U.S. (or other nation's) citizen can enter once they've received a 95% proven effective vaccine that also protects against multiple COVID variants. I don't believe we will ever again see travel policies linked to "countries". As long as there is the risk of COVID infecting a percent of your population, no government can broadly declare borders are open to "all" citizens of a particular country. But they CAN (and I suspect will) allow entry to those free from risk of COVID thanks to a government documented immunization. Are they thinking this way in the PH immigration offices?

So far, proof of vaccination makes no difference to the visa status 😔

@@TheFilipinaPea Watch me predict the future my beloved Pea. Within 60 days, the Philippines will be freely accepting Americans with proof of vaccination. Select other countries will also enjoy the same freedom of travel.

In the interest of continuing my quest to remain funny and keep you laughing? That quick quip u made about the wives and "other women" reminds me of a classic drinking toast: "Raise a glass to our wives and girlfriends....may they never meet"....
@TheFilipinaPea3 жыл бұрын
Oh if it’s the Philippines, not only will they meet - they’re probably related 😂

It reminded me of the one about the old man advising the young man: "It's important to have a woman who you find very attractive. It's important to have a woman who will be a good mother to your children. It's important to have a woman who is a master chef. It's important to have a woman who will satisfy your every desire in the bedroom. But most importantly... none of these women can ever know of each other." . Or something like that, lol

The Dept. of Tourism is just a member of the task force making recommendations to the president in terms of policy vis-a-vis covid management. The task force leans more towards health considerations so it would be difficult for the tourism sector to make its case.

Ya true. I have a child there but I'd legitimately go see my child not use a loophole. But you're right many guys will take advantage and have no intention of seeing their kids. Those guys should be reported and deported, hopefully.

Why are we so good and a great people we love our Phillipine people but the government puts us on a banned list. I'm just about to give up
