Named King of the Edit since the 1980’s, pioneering Manhattan DJ Danny Krivit’s (aka Mr K) latest delivery instils the title bestowed upon him some 30 years ago. An esteemed selector Danny’s prolific remixing and production capabilities have touched hundreds of records - with his signature flare shaping the New York City sound. Opening the two-track release is Danny's edit of this summer’s seminal track, The Vision’s ‘Heaven’, interweaving a gloriously groovy bassline with Andreya Triana’s vocal to produce an extended, DJ friendly mix that he sent crowds wild with at Dekmental Festival. Up next, Mr K delves a little deeper into the Defected catalogue, trying his hand at The DangerFeel Newbies’ ‘What Am I Here For (Original NDATL Vocal)’. Danny’s stripped-back version extends the jazzy, percussive original, as velvety smooth vocals and elegant keys bring this expressive and sophisticated release to a close.

Not trying to hold you, but gotta go off on that point... Literally had it stuck in my head for a while now (think since it first dropped) from every time I randomly heard it. Heard it again yesterday and had to search for it when I finally had time at home to just deep dive into it. Just listened to every version at least once. There has not been a more perfect, classY sound arrangement on a song since the prime days of Gamble and Huff! Every lyric, every ad lib, layer of vocal, every...last...note...of EVERY INSTRUMENT is perfectly placed. Even an AI can't do this as the groove has that "feel" that no machine can compute. I say this as someone who is trained professionally. This song woke me up from two decades of not wanting to create anything. Of course, a someone was the spark that made every lyric, to every song make perfect sense. IT FEEL'S LIKE HEAVEN WALKIN THROUGH THE DOOR I'M FEELING LOVE LIKE I NEVER FELT BEFORE!
