Ruby wants to take full advantage of the stunning views from her beautiful Pasadena home, but they're obstructed by the layout of her kitchen. This modern, all-white space is also feeling a little too stark, and Ruby is ready for a change. With her sights set on adding warmth, color, texture and a better view, Anne-Marie shares her vision to "de-kitchen" Ruby's kitchen and create a more natural, cozy vibe that extends into the adjoining great room and dining area.

I agree that we need to see the finished project. I love the warmth brought to the space building on Ruby’s good taste. One huge mistake: Sorry, downdraft exhaust fans DO NOT WORK. They go against gravity. Use these at your own peril. My suggestion is save $$ elsewhere and invest in a powerful extractor that is tucked higher into the ceiling. That way you can enjoy the view and enjoy cooking without nasty fumes and smells.

I definitely feel like AB is an amazing designer that is well overdue for praise, however….felt like she suffocated the homeowner with her ideas. It became the AB show. I love this concept of a show though. ABs design speaks to millennials and Gen Z. She would bring HGTV back to life.

OK I feel the same way cheated. I want to see what it really looked like in real life and what she did in her on the home if she followed everything you suggested but just to see something that’s computerized. No no no I’m not interested in that.
