I have also lost 100% of my skin pigmentation to vitilago. It has been a tough journey and I would not say it never affected me, but I somehow I grew stronger with time. And I am still in a process of self acceptance. One thing I have learnt is don't force feed your mind, take your time, know yourself inside out. You are important for yourself than the world. The only acceptance that matters is you accepting yourself.

Amazing story! How do I contact you to share my son’s story of being healed from Vitiligo?
@wildflower4623 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing. I was just diagnosed with vitiligo after being misdiagnosed. My daughter and I just did our own research and figured out what I have is not fat deposits like my dermatologist office said it was…the physician’s assistant really changed her tune after seeing my third white patch. I’m looking at people’s stories to help me deal with this but I also have to be careful because some of these stories are making me sad and cry. I have no idea if it will be just the three patches or more. My family is supportive BUT they just keep saying it’s no big deal yet it is to me. So I’m just trying to figure this out and deal with my emotions.

Vitiligo can be really hard to adjust to, you're not alone in feeling how you do. We share a lot of stories via our online magazine, The VitLife - it might be helpful to read stories from other people who have felt the same as you, and see what has helped them on their journeys: vitiligosociety.org/vitlife/

Thank you for your video. I have universal vitiligo as well and can't connect with anyone because I don't know anyone with the same condition. I didn't realize how desperate I was to connect with people just like me until I watched a story about a young man with albinism. Everytime they showed his hands I couldn't believe how much they looked like mine! Obviously we have different reasons for not having pigmentation but I was just so desperate for someone to understand. I too have gone through the self tanning phase but it's shocking to me how different I look with just one application and I wonder if people notice it, like, am I too dark, is it obvious? Your video cheered me up. I'm not happy that you share the same diagnosis but I AM thrilled to find someone similar! When I look at it now, with universal vitiligo being so rare, sometimes I feel special, like there aren't many people out there like up, we are rare and our porcelain skin makes us beautiful. Peace❤

@@TheVitiligoSocietyUK Thank you. I did go to the site which immediately told me that I had read my share of articles for the month (?) when I didn't have the opportunity to read one. I'm kind of disappointed that a site that I would love the opportunity to view would immediately ask me for money to join.
