Today is a cloudy day. As usual, I go to work even though I despise my boss. I work as an accountant on the 30th floor of a gigantic skyscraper. Fortunately for me, I have my own office rather than a cubicle, but I still have plenty of tasks to do. I have to analyze some contracts that people have made this week and sort them into the correct drawer with all the necessary copies of other documents, such as IDs. On my desk, there are some paper clips and a stapler in case I need them. The manager announced that we need to participate in the 12 o'clock meeting, where we'll discuss how we can improve employee's motivation to finish additional tasks. But before that, I'm sitting in my comfortable swivel chair. P.S. This story is a creation of mine and doesn't reflect reality.

"Suck-up" is a good synonym for sycophant. There's no dearth of suck-ups in offices all over the world. Obviously they know which side of their bread is buttered.
