As good He (along with Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Holiday) is, NONE of them can touch the live 1986 concert version sung by the one and only Whitney Houston, at the tender age of 22 yrs old. She unleashes the full weight of her powers on this song for 10 minutes straight. It's part Broadway, part gospel/soul and part opera--all in one truly epic live performance (audio only, unfortunately) It is unbelievable. It may be the greatest live vocal performance ever captured on audio. It's almost scary. I challenge you to set aside 10 mins of undivided attention and put your headphones in (or blu-tooth on at full volume) You'll think an alien landed on earth, sang this song in front of a live audience, then returned to their home planet.
