The fact that she didn’t train to be a singer but still managed to debut as lead vocalist is impressive. @Eunoia Flowersss yes all the members received vocal training. But again not as advance as in vocal positions. When you watch WIN (Winner's Survival Show) and Treasure Box you'll see how they trained their trainees. Mostly vocal aligned trainees get higher and much difficult notes thus they are trained to hit those notes. They teach them the techniques needed to reach those notes. As per the rappers, though they get some singing parts they only get basic vocals. So the techniques they learned was also basic. Jennie also mentioned that she was trained as a rapper but in Playing with Fire era she said she wants to focus more in her singing. So that means she doesn't get that much advance training in terms of singing

When you listen to boombayah and whistle her vocal parts were more basic than jisoo and rose whose notes is much higher or difficult. She just started focusing on her vocals in playing with fire/stay era. In that song she didn't rap or rap a little(in stay) and got much difficult vocal parts than whistle and boombayah. And she finally became lead vocalist around as if it's your last to kill this love era. Tbh in my opinion, Jennie improved her vocals the most among the group. She debuted as a bad b rapper but more well known as a great singer now.

My favourite voice in the group is Jisoo. You just can’t find her voice anywhere else, it’s so uniquely raspy and husky, and she’s done my favourite cover of the group with Yuki No Hana. All of the member's unique voices are what really drew me to Blackpink. Other girl groups like Red Velvet and Twice have very strong vocals but I find it hard to distinguish their voices from each other. Each member of Blackpink stood out from the other immediately but was still very harmonious. Each member's uniqueness helps attribute to Blackpink's overall popularity.

You have featured rosé in your channel a lot of times already but I haven't seen you use clips from her performances in *Fantastic Duo* (other than Irreplaceable). She sang 3 songs with Gummy and other contestants. Those are probably her best vocal performances. I hope you use them next time 😉.

I agree that they are perhaps the group with the most individual voices-each of them have their own tone and style. Listening to them individually you might think they’re so distinct how could they even fit with each other but then you have them together and you’ll find that their voices compliments each other. Their harmony is very good, and they have improved a lot since their debut. They have more control now of their voices and seem to have found their strengths and they’re more aware of how to play with their voices.

I like rosé for her :don't know how to describe vocals ; beautiful. I like jisoos for her deep sensual voice. Lisa for her cute tone but can go high when needed. Jennie for the uniqueness and soul love them all 😘🖤💕

I personally like Lisa’s voice the most. Now don’t get me wrong, I know FACTUALLY she doesn’t have the best vocals in the group (I think it’s a tie between Jennie and Jisoo because Jennie’s vocals are just insane and Jisoo is stable as HELL and I think Rosé sounds great when she isn’t dancing while singing at the same time) but I happen to like Lisa’s voice the most, she is the only one that can make me FEEL things. Which I really love. I also think we haven’t even seen half of her potential yet. Can’t wait for her solo that’s coming out soon!

I'd love for you to do a vocal analysis on Exo! Exo's main vocalists are amazing, Chen, Kyungsoo and Baekhyun together are easily one of the best vocalists in kpop. Kyungsoo (and sometimes chen) are even able carry support up to an Bb4 which is really high for male vocalists (at least in my book)

then again theres already tons of vocal analyses and rankings for them 1. Chen is obviously the best, most balanced mix, least amount of pushing and he carries support down to an A2. also is the most consistent to produce resonance 2. Kyungsoo is the 2nd best because he has the 2nd most consistent mix and also the only one to support the Bb4 note the most consistent. resonance is brought up to A4, his mix is rather chest heavy tho which is why theres some pushing. support is brought down to a D3 with a very neutral larynx which can be carried even lower. also by far the most agile vocalist in kpop, BY FAR! 3. Baekhyun and Kyungsoo are really close but Baekhyun is slightly inferior because he often drops support on A4 and G#4 and also resonance (due to nasal or throaty placement). best head voice in exo but also not a huge advantage since his head voice isnt supported at all.

Each of them has a different tone color voice very distinctive. They completing each other. Yes, they don't have wide vocal range like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce or Celine Dion but they have unique voice tones for example singer that have unique tones but didn't have a wider range of vocals is Adele. When Blackpink together their vocal range wider because their member completing each other, it means wider vocal range and also maximum of uniqueness.
