Holy crap Adrian, I cannot describe the shock that coursed through me when I heard you say Kazan, my dad is Tatar, from Kazan, and he grew up alongside the Volga River, but not many people I’ve met have even heard of Kazan. Thank you for covering this!! I love how you cover smaller, unheard of cases, (at least for me)!

yep, while officially they use the normal, gregorian callendar, in religion (christmas, easter, etc) the "old callendar" is used which has 13 days deviation from the gregorian.

As a Russian, it was very interesting to see you cover a case from my home country (I'd actually never heard of this one before, probably because I grew up abroad, though we did have Russian TV channels growing up). Thank you, as usual, for the incredible work and attention to detail in your research and in how you present the info! Respectful and informative, with minimal sensationalizing. I applaud you, Adrian :) Just a little detail: as far as I know, Bashkiria is the name of the republic, similar to the republic of Tatarstan, and Ufa is the name of the city in this area :)

This was a very interesting video. His story is sad but yet sickening. Being homeless, addicted & motherless is tough. That's no reason to kill, let alone, kill elderly women. I'm glad his mother went looking for him. He could've kept on living his life like nothing ever happened 32 women are no longer living, however, justice served. Great work per usual Adrian!

I have a recommendation for a case in Eastern Europe. This case takes place in Wrocław, Poland. It is about Krystian Bala who published well selling novel and ended ended getting caught because the events of the novel had a canning resemblance to the events of the murder that he committed. I strongly recommend you take a look at this one

It just goes to show that even if you give up children you can't escape affecting their lives. Being abandoned by his mother most likely caused his resentment to older women (alongside convenience in robbery and his own psychopathy) and his mother's love (or at the very least curiosity or loneliness) caused him to get caught. She never stopped affecting his life, even when she wasn't part of it. It's fascinating and heartbreaking.
