With the weather in Pennsylvania being nice over the past few days, I'm literally watching this at work, just counting the minutes until 5pm when I can get home to the garage to mess around with ours! Even though I'm at a stand still at the moment until I save up a little more, I can ALWAYS find small things I can do to it. Enjoy the day!

Jason my father was a welder and my brother and I found a quart can with a masking tape label on it called "Nuts Off" back in the 60's! My brother and I were afraid to touch it! We found out it was an industrial strength penetrating oil good for rust. The body on the bus looks pretty good. I guess 275 pine cones!

62 pinecones. 😁 A little at a time😁👍👍👍. We had a big rotisserie we bolted stripped car frames and unibody car bodies on and it made a dirty dusty job a little easier you could spin the car around and get at everything. they run depending on size around $900 to $2000 or you could build your own you got the welder 😁. You find some great cars i can't understand peoples mentality leaving these great classics to rust to bits the owners must have more money then sense but it's great when you rescue them and also my friend restores classics here in the UK and when he gets some rusty examples he sand blasts the vehicle it makes things a lot easier when welding etc. looks like you have youre work cut out have fun.....

for the front floors - I used a Maytag heavy duty washing machine sides and they were just long enough to do a good job . They have good paint on them also.

50/50 mix acetone and transmission fluid is the best bolt buster I know of.... I thought there had to be a minimum 3 complete raps, of bailing wire, around each end, & middle of the 2x4 to be acceptable by code.... Ya know to prevent splitting!!! Wrench on my friend!!

His sister was a cat lady (the other car a dodge something had a bunch of cat hair on the seats) LOL He sold his old Harley and his Ariel Square four already but he gave me a stupid moped also. 5150 I would go with PB blaster first.... before I went with penetrating oil.I’ve had phenomenal luck with PB blaster and a dump piston on a 1 ton dump.... amazing.....As for the pinecones I’m sticking to 196 pinecones in the pinecone challenge..... as for everything else I like the chrome wheels on the driver side...Before I take out those floors... I would take a shit load of measurements.. Plus I put a slew of bracing in there to hold it in place... If you can get it in the garage and get the bus level.. That be key before you start cutting and welding the bus back together that would be key... just like building a house... level square and plum I’m a carpenter.. Good luck with things 5150 please catch up to the code pressure treated lumber 2 x 4 is mandated for front seat repair in micro buses Volkswagens especially take care. Ps Stainless steal screws nuts and bolts in pressure-treated lumber in the bullshit new pressure-treated lumber is got real real real bad collision chemicals in it if you get a sliver and you get it out and that’s the truth take care junkman do

I would go out and get a couple spray cans of rust converter for those areas behind the doors. I would not use bar and chain oil. Although it might work the constant mess and attraction of dirt. would drive me nuts. The permatex one at oreillys works well. or order a gallon of the adcoat on ebay for all your projects. it will stop the rust and you can pour it in the bottoms of the doors and cracks. Or thin it a bit with water and spray it. If you put it on the outside it will turn brown though so might want to use flat clear to keep the original patina look. Floor edges from wolfsburg west are the best or you can order them from eddy for same price. Door rubber and window rubber from Eddy and Daves garage is the cheapest. Door kits for both doors there are the price of one door everywhere else. Tell Eddy you are a youtube buddy of mine and he will give you some special treatment. Cant say what but he also has used parts.

dude all I use now is my phone Samsung galaxy note 8. has super good video and can pause and upload without editing. try it. also you can use a phone editor. some guys use an Iphone for the same but you gotta work with the memory you have in it. keep on making videos.

@@5150mxVW your back rest is one weird design with hooks, and pivots and other weird ideas- seems it was so easy to remove that it got left behind at many camp grounds.
