The Volvo C40 all electric SUV - not very practical. Not very comfortable. Quiet. Yes. Very quiet. But. Harsh.

Our first experience with charging was not pleasant. One. We had to back in. Then, the station we chose had one connector and it was the wrong one. We found another station. It would not sync. Then we found a third station and that worked. So much like the Monty Python grail skit with the king who built a castle on a swamp.

This is a nice car. The Volvo c40 is a status symbol. Does it get good range? We don’t think so. It is powerful. At 80 miles per hour, if you floor it, it is like having 600 horse power.

There the rear seat headrests, you have a rear window not much larger than a laptop. You also have huge blind spots.

When the mirrors automatically turn downward when you put the car in reverse, they become worthless. You are forced to use the surround video image on the console. The mirrors turn down automatically too far.

I won’t say how fast I was going. I will say I got there in about 2 seconds. That was, until I scared myself and let off the gas. And I am an avid performance driver.
