The fact that this ride consistently hauls ass through 90% of the ride is one of the reasons why I love it so much. It's crazy how it feels like your going just as fast at the end of the ride as you are during the first part of the ride. Brilliant use of the terrain!

Awesome use of the terrain. Especially when the trims are off . 2nd half of the ride is going back downhill .

2:37. Station fly thru, banked right and climbing. BAAM. Tracks falls away and goes left. Voyage has several instances of that exact move, but the one coming out of the station is my favorite. The pacing is just incredible that far from the chain.

Amazing how much energy this thing keeps up. I felt like it couldve kept going for awhile if it weren't for that final brake run.

This is always the best pov angle, in my opinion. But off-ride angles are by far my favourite! I love watching the coaster reacting to physics and going through twists and turns, so satisfying.

Still the longest wooden coaster with a single lift! Top 3 bucket woody for me.

Yes sir!!! Last I knew, it held that distinction by over 1,000 feet of track. Voyage is an insanely long ride for a single lift.

This took my #1 wooden coaster spot last year, just an amazing ride! (Yes I've ridden El Toro and while an insane ride, I still like The Voyage the best) As good as the first half is, I think the second half starting with the triple down after the mid course brake run is the best part of the ride. It's insane how the train RIPS all the way back to the station with relentless speed. I started laughing hysterically because it just seemed to keep getting faster! I couldn't wait to ride it again after my first ride! All of Holiday World's coasters are excellent though and that's what I love about that place. They prove that you don't need 15 coasters to have a great park, not to mention their water park is fantastic!

The Voyage is an absolute masterclass in pacing. It's amazing. I like to describe it as a 3 act roller coaster. On the way out the giant camelbacks are not super impressive, but do serve as an introduction. Then the ride starts to show it's true colors during the second act - the twister section out in the woods. There's a moment of calm on the midcourse before the gloves come off and the ride really picks up, the triple down, and the race back to the station. Each section progressively increases the pace until it feels completely out of control. It's a really smart way to make the ride extremely fun and memorable.

Wish we had rollercoasters like this in the U.K. so jealous oh Americans and the amazing theme park rides they have. My dream trip was to come to the USA for a few months to travel the country visiting as many theme parks as I could but COVID stopped that so it’s now booked for late 2021 or early 2022.

This thing must be traveling uphill near the back end of the ride to need trim brakes at the turnaround and to pick up that much speed even after the trim brakes. The back part of the ride after the turnaround/trims has to be downhill, but it sure doesn't seem like it. An absolute monster of a ride. It's a Top 10 coaster in the world if you ask me.
@coastersandcosplays4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, after the first drop, it's literally travelling up this massive hill, then you get to the top of the hill where the bowl section of track is. And right before the midcourse/trims is when it starts the trek down the hill. That's why that thing just never loses energy, keeps a great speed, and gets away with only having 1 lift hill. Trimless night rides on this during Holiwood Nights are seriously worth going out to the event alone. It's the best night ride I've been on ever, and it's now my favorite wooden coaster. Every time I was out of breath and losing my voice on the break run, after 2 minutes straight of arms up, and yelling my lungs out haha 😂😄
@rosspro64664 жыл бұрын
@@coastersandcosplays seems like an absolute monster. My home park when I was a little kid was Kings Island, so I'll always feel The Beast is the #1 wooden coaster forever til the end of time, but this thing is a very close second, or 1A. I went to Holiday World years ago and The Raven was new, only like a year old and Otorongo was the brand new water attraction for Splashing Safari that season. Holiday was a great, safe and very clean park then and they've only continued their impeccable growth and reputation since then.
@coastersandcosplays4 жыл бұрын
@@rosspro6466 yeah it was amazing, and to me, Voyage beats the beast in every way but I have no emotional ties to the beast haha
@rosspro64664 жыл бұрын
@@coastersandcosplays well it also benefits from being 30yrs newer and the luxuries of technology and construction innovation. Kings Island literally built The Beast themselves. They didn't even outsource the design, or construction of the ride and did it without computers. Pretty amazing and remarkable really. The second drop of The Beast is truly iconic and amazing. Purr adrenaline.
