There are no swap harnesses for mk4/5/6/7 since they’re all CANBUS cars.

Nice build and Happy Birthday. The VR6 engine is the best VW ever made in my opinion. Owned a 1997 Passat 12V VR6 2001 GTI 12V VR6 2004 R32 24V VR6 The R32 unfortunately I lost to a flood 😢 always wanted to go to WITW. Maybe one day! Enjoy your new VR6!

Dude you have been a huge inspiration for me doing the exact same vr6 swap in my mk6 GTI ! Literally just got my BFI mounts and a clutch in today for the swap so the vr6 is going in the car soon and i can’t wait to drive this thing. Your wiring notes are definitely going to be helpful when the time comes 😅

From my experience with my mk4 R32 i would say i hope you went stage 1 on the BFI mounts. Stage 2 will vibrate the whole car apart 😂. But i do love my BFI mounts.

Awesome video series, don’t plan on doing a wookie swap yet but I am in the middle of swapping a 1.8t in my mk4 Jetta wagon and this video just adds fuel to getting it done! I have considered trying to do this to my MK6R. Same boat just a car guy with a family who would be doing it all in my garage on jack stands! Would require a lot of research and planning though. We’ll see how what happens in the future!

Props to BFI for jumping on board and helping out on this! The car has turned out fabulously (I do love a white Mk6 - though my favourite is a Rising Blue 6R!), and listening to it is making it more difficult to let go of my 3.2VR in the near future...
