I seems we now have lore for the Waffle House. A place in the middle of nowhere. If you stop by at night, the old host is allowed to leave and you are now stuck. You can’t tell anyone about what is happening, but you can try and delay someone’s departure so they stay late enough to swap. After a night or two, I can imagine they’d be a bit unhinged.
