No disrespect But any time someone point sort that Peter Tosh is far superior his music that is.. to Bob Marley this is usually the response but no one says anything when the some say that Bob Marley is the king of reggae which in my humble opinion he cannot reach to the benchmark of Peter Toshes music and stance on human rights among other things.

@rascardoreggaereggae45893 жыл бұрын
VERY TRUE. ASK RAS CARDO HE WAS ALSO ON ALL THESE ORIGINAL SONGS. HE HAS THE DETAILED HISTORY.
@RAnthonyBarker3 жыл бұрын
Bob never took all the credit he's always maintained that they were the wailers he never sectioned "Bob Marley and The Wailers". I am sure has they lived until now they would have reunited. They were great together.
@Ricotet43 жыл бұрын
This "Bob Marley taking all the credit" stuff. Haven't heard Tosh and Livingston say that. They have always acknowledged Bob's musical talent. Out of the three founding members, the two left to pursue solo careers because they didn't like how Blackwell conducted affairs of the band. Blackwell then changed the name of the band to BMW. Now I have heard some members of the band, example, Family Man claim that he and some of the other members wrote some of the songs. A claim they made after Bob died. But Al Anderson rubbished that and I believe him. So, if Aston Barret could write songs, why are the Wailers struggling to hit the top of the charts after Marley's passing. Simple. Marley was once in a lifetime genius of a lyricist and a leader. Now we have the Wailers and the Original Wailers. Only Bob could hold the band together. So let's give credit where it's due.
@RAnthonyBarker3 жыл бұрын
@@Ricotet4Familyman isn’t claiming he wrote any lyrics; he is saying that he as the musical arranger, and he was, and really the leader of the band, the music, was due royalties. I agree. The music was his creation along with his brother Carly, Downie, Wya, Al, Junior
@neojanuary56892 жыл бұрын
Bob never "took" no credit,brother. Junior relocated to the states. Bunny quit the wailers. A few months after, peter quit too. All of the circumstances had nothing to do with bob. Bob just kept the name of the wailers going and he never failed to give credit to his original waikers brothers, whenever the press tried to drive a wedge

Este projeto foi conduzido na maior parte por Bunny Wailer, que nos anos 80 fazia seus trabalhos no estilo Rub-A-Dub, que fazia muito sucesso naquela época, por esse motivo não é tão roots reggae como nos anos 70.
