I always thought the top 2 coasters here looked really great, so it's awesome that the final "forgotten" Walibi park gets some representation 🙌 Maybe the new Intamin will grant the park more international attention, because it looks like it deserves it! Also, the rails connecting at 3:38 is literally one of the most sci-fi things I've ever seen on a coaster, I love it

They could get something like Kondaa, they could get a motorbike coaster so they get a launch coast. I personally found no airtime because I got stapled in every row I rode on Timber and Mystic failed to meet my expectation. I got to experiance some of the other rides as well and there was a boat ride by their flume that's seen better days, I hope an overhaul to the pre-existing rides in that back area (the dive show arena/Tivoli side and the boat ride/flume side, although they could make the Tivoli area its own separate area with a music theme and install a Side Car ride just inside the monorail ride). Gold River could use some work in the woods, but that is more long term, closer to the park's 50th at the end of the decade

I'm curious how Mystic compares to Fury at Bobbejaanland. It really looks a solid ride
@CoasterDash2 жыл бұрын
Fury is certainly more intense, has that backwards feature, is larger, but isn’t as smooth. Mystic is more family-thrill, but puts greater emphasis on hangtime.

5:05 Any sort of trim right before the brakes generally means the brakes weren't 100% slowing the train down in 100% of situations. Either through testing or experience. Usually a train bumps in the station and they realize hmmmm, need more brakes. Cheaper than replacing brakes with more powerful ones or whatever.
@trimlesscoasters2 жыл бұрын
No it doesn’t necessarily
@jonny-b49542 жыл бұрын
@@trimlesscoasters Yeah, that's why I said "generally." That's by far most common reason for trims before a final brake run though. Steel Vengeance got them, for instance, for that reason. There's no other reason to trim a train that brakes a dozen feet prior to a brake run, unlike a midcourse with track you want to have train run over slower.
@trimlesscoasters2 жыл бұрын
@@jonny-b4954 for Taron it is because the last curve would be way to intense
@jonny-b49542 жыл бұрын
@@trimlesscoasters True. That's not really RIGHT before the brake run though, which is what I was primarily talking about. I mean, like, right before the brake run, like this, going up the hill into brake run even. It's weird how often it seems manufacturers under-estimate braking power needed. That's why I love B&M and they'll always be my favorite company, at least. Not favorite coasters, but favorite engineers. They never have issues like this, or crashes/accidents. Because they over-engineer everything. They would have a set of friction brakes solely for back up after magnetics and a long enough brakes to make sure train stopped sufficiently.

For the area, Walibi Rhône-Alpes is a park that desperately needs investment. Lyon, Geneva, and Grenoble are within an hour, and for it to have an Infinity as the best ride is rather pathetic on Walibi's part.
@CoasterDash2 жыл бұрын
Maybe so, but the park is tiny so they don’t exactly have the room to add anything too big.
