In 2006, Hubby and I adopted 4 children from the same orphanage. We also have a daughter named Meseret. There's also Mekidelawit, Wondwossen and Anteneh. Thank you for sharing your story. Your tears are my tears and your strength is my strength. That's how deeply you touched my heart. God bless you always 🌺

this is one of the most powerful documentaries I have seen lately. Mesert is articulate, and her words of faith and grace over her life journey will impact you. It is a special documentary in that it embodies the gospel craftily- honestly this story will convert your mind to know God is alive and God has a plan for you. In the tribulation of life, focus on the strength gained. God bless you Mesert- May God bless your family as well.

Beautiful and very touching. Thank you for sharing your story so authentically. "What have you lost" Is a great question for adoptive parents to ask.

This is such a beautiful and thoughtful telling of the story of adoption and all it's complexities. Thank you for being an example of processing, choosing life and hope even when there is still a healing journey to embrace. You give voice to so many important things to consider. Much grace to your continued Walk!

Jasmine , Angelique, and Team have done a masterful work in helping Meseret to tell her multi layered/ faceted story of adoption, transition, acceptance, belonging, and faith . Her tenderness and sweet spirit drew me in. Though unique, her story of adoption and perseverance is one that would resonate with many. After viewing this work, the Canne FF nomination comes as no surprise! To God be the Glory!🙏🏾👏🏾❤️

I can understand a meaning of death at 9 the way she felt. Because, my nanny was passed away. I placed on her foot and questioned myself, how can she deal with two cultures and still her biological parents family and her families ties? Honestly speaking, but, who else is with out conundrum questions in life ? I thank her parents for her eloquent, philosophical narration.
