Great video about our brilliant history in England but I love the fact that you timed your run during lockdowns to coincide with people hitting pots and pans!!

That was a great walk that one. Loved seeing the ancient castle remains. I was puzzled by old King John of whom - being an Antipodean - I had no idea about. Why’s he look so odd? Then I realised, he’s thin, with a half decent hair cut. I think it’s the first king I’ve ever seen that wasn’t… portly … and looked like he ate his kids for breakfast. Great episode! Thanks again!

What a great video, my work colleagues even watched it as I had the sound up during our lunch break...loved all the history in this one, how you remember the dates and Information is so cool, such a great commentary style, has me hooked on every video,I laughed out loud in a few places, even a couple of 'oh mates' to satisfy my love for them...looking forward to the next video G...regards, John

We're surrounded by the history, but you don't tend to notice as a local. I grew up on the Isle of Wight and didn't go on a needles boat ride until I was about 25!

Wow! Thank you. I had forgotten about the quarries and remember going up there as a kid before the A38, but remember watching construction. The old railway line is very familiar and remember viewing Coxbench station when it was on the market. I am no longer in UK so lovely reminiscing for me, although I now have the GR92 as a substitute. Kindest regards x

Oh that would have been great to have owned that station. Wonder what ball park it was on the market for!

It was average and in need of renovation. The garden was on the opposite side of the platform, which put off my OH as we had small children. I am guessing no more than 40 - 50k. I also looked at Idridgehay station, which I preferred, but then the survey identified bats in the attic, which we had seen, but caused problems with mortgaging, as they were protected. Thank you for your videos, they have triggered all sorts of memories! Lol 😂 @@IckeWalks

If you went down that farm access along the perimeter of that yard you could have peeked over and spotted the tunnel portal. It used to be full of old car panels and junk
