In season 2, he said he was expecting to be the hero by finding and saving Sophia. He cared more about himself being a hero than saving his friend. Also I kind of hated how he looked in season 1 and 2, but that could be fine if he was better overall. Also he is just kind of boring and is mainly useful as a way to show how to raise your kids in a zombie apocalypse. In later seasons, this got better, but he still just seems like a forced character, not an important link to anyone other than Rick. I understand if my reasoning is false or bad, but it's my opinion on why I hate him

So at the end of Season 7 Jadis breaks her deal with Rick for a deal with Negan. Rick promised her a third, she wanted half, Negan promised her 12, then switched to 10 because, "people are a resource." She preferred people over what they could've scavenged from the compound. Also im glad you brought up the whisperers, Michonne killed the first whisperer Season 7 Episode 9, time stamp 29:33 I believe. They've been winding up Michonne's first shot from her perch and when she takes it the "walker" stumbles. She even makes a face at this then quickly follows it up with another shot showing when a bullet pieces the walkers brain everything shuts down and they go straight down immediately. LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS.

He also literally spilled the guts of Spencer. Also, in the comics he wasn't just the former highschool teacher who managed to survive. He saved people and lead them just like what Rick did.
