For me, Carl just keeps developing as a character - becoming more and more complex with each character stroke. I am well impressed with Chandler Riggs' acting and to see him grow, literally, into the character he plays is a joy! I hear that all the ensemble actors helped each other raise their game from the off - probably because there wasn't and true STAR from the outset.

If you try to kill me, and I kill you, that's self defense. I agree with the decision. I also agree that you can't judge, this particular group, as a whole unit. These guys didn't get to choose who they were with. It was circumstance. So each individual, should not hold consequences of the others.

Yeah, I am pretty much in agreement with most everything you said. I love the way Carol is developing now that she is out from under her abusive ex-'s control. She's smart, she's pragmatic, she's making decisions, taking initiative. Can you even imagine trying to survive in the apocalypse with only one leg? He's still got a long way to go just to heal from the amputation. Thank goodness for the infirmary!

Carol has fantastic character development. Like I said, who would’ve guessed after S1 🤷‍♂️, I have faith we can get Hershel to a point where he can live with our protection… but indeed, the way we’ve been living (E.g on the move etc…) is no longer suitable for our situation. WITH A BABY TOO

Rick killing Tomas was justified. That was such an insane situation, but it was self defense. I really thought Hershal was a goner, but when he woke up, I was so happy. Carl is growing up so fast. In this dangerous Apocalyptic world, he has to.

I always thought Lori was unfairly judged. I don't remember a single person talking s**t about Shane. And he was just as guilty, if not more. He told her Rick was dead. He saved her & her son & kept them safe. It's no surprise they both started catching feelings. I also understand Shane saying what he said. If he hadn't she never would've left & I'm 99.9% sure she'd be dead. He thought it was the right call. He probably wasn't a bad guy before the apocalypse, but it changed him. By the end he was too broken to come back

The crazy prisoner needed to go, you could tell he was in jail for a reason. He would have eventually hurt someone. Also I absolutely love Hershel and Rick’s relationship. They love and respect each other, it’s beautiful to witness 💚

Loving your reactions and commentary on the best show ever! This episode is crazy. The prisoners, Tomas trying to be tough, Hershel almost dying, Carol doing a c section on a walker, Carl growing up so fast, Rick being a badass. So much going on and I love it all!

I agree with your assessment of Lori. You said last season that Andrea was "anti-listening", that's how I felt about Carl as well in the first few seasons, he was doing precisely the opposite of what he was told to do.

Leadership in the apocalypse is a difficult topic. In Times of Peace a council might Work but when you are running into someone/something potentially dangerous then it's better when you only have one leader.

Man, you would not last in an apocalypse. Rick is making the rights choices. They might not be NICE choices, but theyre RIGHT. youre judging rick by "normal" world standards, and not thinking about the consequences of the "nice" decisions you think he should be making. Rick is the perfect mixture of Shane & that nice guy you seem to think should be in charge. He makes the hard choices and shoulders the responsibilities of that. Rick is exactly the right leader.

If it was anybody else, I would think Lori has a right to be mad at Carl but too much conflict happened in the past because she didn't parent him correctly, she can't play perfect parent now at the expense of him contributing.

People forget their in the apocalypse, Carl will never live a "normal" life, him snapping at Lori is just Carl being miserable with his life and when he's trying to help his mother talks to him as if they're living in a normal world... nobody can be fully sane in a world like that and it's almost like Lori wants Carl to be a normal kid in this crazy world, you kind of have to except the dread of the show.

The optimism of youth. The older you get the more you see how contrary people can be, they do, and say the most stupid things all the time. It is all just a part of being human. Over analysing peoples behaviour just leads you around in circles. The cleverness of TWD is displaying that complexity day in, day out. Actions speak louder than words, and in this world, you no longer have the luxury of living with your mistakes, or having a go around, or the time to listen to all points of view. DO it or die, and learn how to live the consequences and you can only do your best. Survival rules.

​@@DanReadd Shane's downfall was his obsession with lori.. shane should have left in the beginning when he was trying to leave.. but then he had an important role in their growth and way of thinking... also saved Carl's life by getting supplies.. I once said a balance of shane and early rick is required to survive.. and that gives us our present day rick 😊
