I liked the way the season ended. I think people are just to used to the way Scott Gimple plotted out his seasons as showrunner. The rhythm became predictable. Angela Kang has mixed it up a bit to the shows benefit.

Really glad many other fans are feeling this way. It’s not always about big shocks and cliffhangers, although they can be awesome. It’s about storytelling. They were showing us where the characters will be at as we go into the next season. There’s this anxiety just blanketing over everything, thinking the Whisperers are just watching. They set up both an ending to this season and an atmosphere they will carry into the next.

I'm completely with you when it comes to Negan. I love his scenes and perhaps he hasn't changed 100%, but it's clear to me he has changed quite a bit. And no one can tell me he doesn't care for Judith. He doesn't really have anything or anyone else to care for, so I think for him, Judith is pretty much the only thing/person he has left which probably makes the bond/respect he feels for her pretty damn strong.

I agree with that. When Carol said Lydia reminded her of Henry Daryl asked her who he reminded her of. I think he was implying Sophia. And it took so long for Carol to get over her daughter's death. I think if Lydia was out of the picture perhaps she'd fall into the "out of sight out of mind".

Joe Lazarus Really? I didn't get a chance to see TD, but Ezekiel's expression when he was eyeing them on the road sure seemed like it, as did the conversation in the treeline. I grant you that it would be out of character for him, but tragedy can make you say and do stuff you normally never would. I'd get him feeling threatened after losing so much, but... honestly, this isn't a time to do without your friends. Especially Daryl for Carol, who's been there from the beginning, who saw her through Sophia's death and everything after. She needs that familiar support right now, not just from Ezekiel.

That statement by Carol is what has him worried. Because he wasn´t around since the beginning but he was one of the people who never gave up on Carol when she kind of "lost it" back then when she went to live away. Far from all communities. Daryl and Morgan were there too. But Ezekiel even made her believe in all the "Kingdom" stuff. And all of that is brought to the table again when Daryl and Carol are talking for the second time at the stairs. Daryl saying the idea about Lydia and Carol telling about feeling again what she felt before. And at the end (when breaking up) she says to Ezekiel something about the "Fairy Tale".

"we're never seen anyone happy!" - so true, any happy moment has been a set up for a fall before this. S9 has been great. the first half was just the story of rick and building, there was no "big bad", every episode held good story and character moments. the 2nd half gave us the whisperers who have been a new type of baddie. I feel since rick left the show everyone else stepped up their game, Daryl has had more to do and say this season than the last 4 combined, and we can really understand his motivations & who he is now now, same with carol, she's getting character growth and not just "and carol is a badass" moments. they were 2 characters who were very close to becoimg almost 1 note jokes of themselves(Daryl grunts and carol is a psycho) but they have shone this season. i love that this episode wasn;t a bombastic "event" episode or the start of the whisperer war, it was low key and character driven(selfless negan anyone?) and i have high hopes for S10.

5:25 The parallels of Carol's comic death and Lydia attempting the same was interesting. I liked Carol and Lydia's dynamic this episode. I think when Carol said "You're not weak," she was talking about herself as well as Lydia. I think after everything that's happened the best place for her right now is to be with the main crew in Alexandria. That snowball fight was great.

Another reaction person I watch was also having problems a couple times in a row of getting blocked until she flipped her video. Then not a problem yet so far. Crossing fingers for the both of you! Um no he smiled all the way back in season 1 where they were having a toast at the CDC. In season 3 where Daryl was holding Judith calling her little asskicker. In season 5 where he reunites with Carol after Terminus and him seeing Rick reuniting with Judith. In season 9 where Carol sees him on the road on her way to Hilltop. When he asks Connie to feed his dog, and that snowball scene 😂

I liked the little easter eggs Greg Nicotero threw into the show. especially stuff from other movies he's done effects for. the half walker on the road was from The Return of the Living Dead movie. in that movie some zombies can talk and she tells everyone that they eat brains to stop the pain of rotting. then at the end when they show all those face masks one is designed to look like the Necronomicon from the old Evil Dead movies.

This was such a breather after last week, but that doesn't mean it wasn't sad and emotional as all hell. I love it when the characters talk to each other after a tragedy, we never got that after the Negan kills until the back half of Season 7, so it was nice to have some grieving this soon after. Lovely reaction as well
