At this point, it has been established that an 'A' is a test subject. a 'B' is likely someone that is useful as a worker for the CR/CRM. One theory that I have heard discussed is that the CRM was prioritizing using strong willed people (and leader types) to be used as the test subjects - with the reasoning that they would be better able to resist turning into walkers. (at this point, it's just one more theory. However, it would account for 'A' being used for both leader types and test subjects)

As to why Jadis/Anne thought Rrick was "special", I remember when the gun deal went sideways at Alexandria. She was interested in "laying down" with him and said so. It may have been as simple as that. Or, add to that after being in Alexandria for a time, his management skills and problem solving ability just sweetened the whole thing. Just a thought.

You are definitely correct regarding the a and b designations. I don't think it was ill-intended when they implied that his leadership made him an A, but we have so much more evidence now supporting an A being someone suitable as a test subject, largely because they were bitten and hadn't turned yet. Maybe the CRM does prefer a certain personality for their TSubjects, but not a whole lot of evidence to support that other than conjecture.

Example 3 She told Gabriel we can leave her together. Somewhere far away and we can have a beautiful life together. Then she admitted how she traded text subjects. When Gabriel said I'm telling Rick. Jadis changed him to a A instead.

I'm really glad you made this video! And you are completely right about the A and B topic. I read an article from Screen Rant while back sometime right after World Beyond and they were told Rick is a very important asset to the CRM because they found out he is a zombie killing machine but also a great leader with a skill to Rally people together for a common cause. Not only does that make sense it sounds pretty badass!

Well CRM has most of the military in it, which makes sense that was probably when the US government fell they were renamed into the CRM! Well we see in the CRM building the A was what become of one of the Doctors that was on the team! A is a leader or strong willed person. They are used as test subjects because they are far more likely to resist changing...that was the CRMs theory in the word beyond. Bs are far less likely to rebel or have a strong will. They are weak, therefore they can be trained to be a soldier(because they won't push back and will work for CRM approval) or be used to be a model citizen for the CR(meaning a functional member of society who would think there best chance to restore the world is with the CRM and wouldn't want to leave anyways) Also established in the World Beyond. A's were more valuable because it's easy to find a dead person but hard however to just find people who are outside of the CR who were freshly bitten so they captured people and had them bit to run there experiments.

And another thing. CRM was flying around the area during all out war. They probably were aware of Ricks combat and leader skills.That is why he is special because they probably haven't seen another leader like that in a survival group that started out with a few people and some weapons. It's not like he had the commonwealth to his disposal

Example 2 Huck said to Jadis you traded someone to get in the CRM right. Suggesting she brought someone against their will. When Jadis gave A's she got supplies and mainly for herself if I remember right.

Well no A is a leader who doesn’t get let in thats only purpose for them in the CRM is to be tested on, B is a normal survivor thats duty to the CRM is to work to help keep it going.

James is right..remember Jadis told Kubeck that she took advantage of a situation to get herself in. She saw the strongest fighter she's ever meant down and injured. And since he gave her chance she felt she owed him something better than making him a test subject. Example 1

Huck was undercover agent that trained Jadis.Thet never said if it was when her and Rick got there. Or before hand. Jadis was connected to them already. I think CRM sends undercovers out into other communities or they try recruit small communities like the perimeter.

As far as Rick not doing anything yet. We don't know that yet because when he is shown timeline wise it was only a year or two into his arrival. Michonne finds the boots after the 6 year time jump. So by now Rick could have either gave in and joined the military or maybe they forcing him or even brain washed him.

Maybe they should have another group. If A is freshly bitten then they should move B to C and make B those Bitten and Infected or those Walkers infected with the original strain of Wildfire… Mr CDC guy (forget his name) was looking for something specific, the older the better. Meaning the closer to the initial outbreak and infection the better. Which supports my theory that those infected with the original strain of Wildfire from France retrain more of themselves after death. That’s why we go from lab lady, to one’s that can run and climb things , even opening doorknobs to one’s that can barely climb to those who stumble down stairs. It’s also possible that lack of fresh blood makes that “ability” dwindle. While I initially thought wildfire mutated the brain to produce oxygen from blood obtained im now convinced that it changes the blood to obtain oxygen and nutrients from blood consumed. This would make it possible for the head to be severed and survive from the rest of the body. Instead of using the respiratory system to circulate blood containing wildfire and “food” it acts more like a parasite and is absorbed through the various tissues and makes its way back to the brain… keeping a ticking time bomb alive. Then again it may not even go to the brain at all and instead is just absorbed. It seems the more fresh blood a Walker gets the less decay and less fragile it becomes. The Brian may be the primary focus of a Walker or in fact it’s nothing after reanimation. All the Brian is is a defibrillator…… and then the rest of the body is just parasitic like extensions. While I don’t necessarily think the latter is the case we see no evidence that the brain is needed for anything other than stopping a Walker from being alive. Part of me thinks the brain is just a defibrillator fro the Wildfire virus and afterwards Wildfire becomes the true focus point. But a part of me also thinks that wildfire/blood and the brain share a symbiotic relationship…and that the legs and other parts are just extensions and tolls to get their food. And blood is absorbed through tissues and then circulated to the brain… Then again idk this is based on the limited materials I’ve absorbers from the shows…

@@TWDExplained I don't think they go to CR directly, some sort of hospital for Rick, then Health and Welfare to be conditioned, and to see where they fit in, then training... In WB , and Fear they showed several maps, fuel drops, fuel barrels, were supply drops, oil wells ?¿ , parks usually means rest, crosses, usually hospitals, but there were several colors and symbols as we saw in WB and Wes' brother had color slides, I think there are a lot of locations, some not on maps, Perimeter were not authorized.... So s lot but separate and only if/ for how long they prove useful.. Jadis was training with Huck and went MP direction... Rick may have went civilian.. consignee.... Maybe procurement of goods, he was good with directing people, scavenging, mercenary, but I don't think he would do that for CRM.. But I can see him directing goods and services and managing a large group.... That's how he got the phone... A friend that is on intake, checking in on Alexandria, Does the portrait, but has no real idea who RJ is so he is not included. I think the portrait is right before we are introduced to older Judith, someone that was there, of course taking place in the missing years ..

Gab was a close friend ( didn't they have a fling?), She saved Rick, so he would be grateful and follow her. Silas was pretty much the same. He's a little slow minded and can be manipulated. All in all she wants to build an army of people like the Thash Heap group.

Example 4 : Jadis saw something in Salis. They probably knew he killed his father. And despite Salis deceiving CRM. That seem to impress Jadis. She figures she already a step ahead of him. So she is gonna try convert him as a B. Otherwise she'll make him a A probably.

Spent a long time on this thought. A is for Alphas,B is for Beta. Alphas don’t like taking orders and are used as test subjects. What better way to get rid of competition, than use them as tests. B are for the “Followers” Rick should have been an A because he always see his own path to help others.

I think A and B refers to what type of walker you would be. Certain personalities, while alive, yield certain personalities when dead. If you look at Tales WD, we learned that there are certain walkers who are "leaders" that help to sort of care for the other walkers. I think these walkers are A's. A's are smarter than B's, they are thinkers. They climb, turn door knobs, they pick up rocks, they help provide food for the herd, they open gates to let the herd in, etc. Father Gabriel, Rick, Negan, Daryl are all A's not just because they are leaders, but because they help take care of, provide for and protect their people, even unto death. If they die, they would become a type of walker that is worth studying by the CRM. Side note: The only reason I can think of as to why Rick is so valuable/special, besides being an A, is if he has immunity or something close to immunity. I've been thinking about this for awhile. If he has immunity, maybe Carl did too. Carl didn't have to die. The fever would've eventually burned out like Alicia (who I think is alive). The writer's made sure Carl killed himself so Rick and Michonne, in the future, won't have to carry the burden that they killed Carl when he may have recovered. Just my theory. I think they will later discover that Judith has immunity and is thus Rick's kid too.

I'm just glad your not throwing out the theory that Rick is special because his blood is the cure. That is one of the lamest theories out there. I know it's not directly tied to the A and B designations but it's still a really stupid theory.
