Wellington was probably assimilated, I doubt they'd destroy such a fortress. However as for how they lost, I doubt there was many to actually fight in the front lines, the community is huge but I doubt they had the weapons to supply everyone with. When you first reach wellington it's only the one guard: Edith at the front gate, judging by how they brought a garbage truck it's safe to assume they had explosives to blow open the front gate, there's no way people were able to arm themselves to defend against it so quickly especially when they don't have radios or communications as Edith had to manually walk to talk with the leaders. Wellington didn't have the weapons to defend with, the supplies Kenny and Clementine were offered was food and medicine, not ammunition. But, this could all be bullshit and telltale just doing what they're famous for; making your decisions not matter.

For a Kenny fan, the Wellington ending is by far the best outcome, for these several reasons: - You're stuck with a character (Edith) who you know nothing about, so her death won't affect you very much. - In this ending, Kenny is not confirmed dead, he is still unknown, so the possibility of him being alive is still open. Aside from the alone ending in one scenario, this is the only ending where the possibility of him being alive is still open. - YOU GET TO KEEP KENNY'S HAT MY BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYS

As long as Telltale don't literally show him dead in the ending, or openly state that canonically when you kept Kenny alive he died in the alone ending, the possibility of him being alive is always there. That's why I'd like Kenny to be unknown rather than proven dead, because while you can just assume he's dead, it's always going to be an assumption, not a proven fact, unlike with his flashback, where it's proven he died. The sheer possibility of him being alive is all I need to be honest.

This is the most illogical explanation to Clem being alone so far. Last we saw of Wellington, it looked like a fortress. They must've had supplies otherwise how were they keeping everyone alive? And now you're telling me they don't have enough weapons to hold off a scavenger group? I know Edith said they have guns/cars but did the place really fall THAT easily? I am severely disappointed by how little the endings to Season 2 matter. Telltale might've well have stuck us with just one.

Does anyone else think the New Frontier were the ones who attacked Wellington in the flashback, I mean you hear a similar guy whos pointing fingers at everyone for being hoards for food and medicine, and starts getting angry, and see the same African American guy (not trying to be racist) but he has the same hair, and face, as the one on the guard rail or bridge in Richmond, and you also hear the same similar guy saying shoot Clem, so any resemblance?

The issue people have is that the way Wellington falls doesn't make a whole of sense. A community that big would have more than enough combatants to survive an assault of that size, yet the raiders just waltzed in and gunned everyone down without any retaliation. You wanna kill people in your story? Great, do it, but make sure it makes sense, dude. If they at least added like, half a minute long combat scene or put a few friendlies in the background shooting back, there'd be way less of a problem, I feel.

Kenny isn't the "giving up type" no matter what he's been through he never kills himself, he also took the bag of supplies at the end meaning he was planning on living, so it is possible he's out there still.
