They've certainly gamified a lot of it, making it far more user friendly for sure! Lacks the environmental interaction (eg. Static boxes and other environmental clutter that boneworks would allow you to mess with) and the overall 'do everything however you like' vibe, but a clear cut above most other VR games. AAA devs should take note of this and boneworks as the new standard to beat.

I played this to just past the blue mansion yesterday and I'm hooked. The stabbing mechanics are amazing. I love the fact that the zombies aren't really a big deal once you get used to killing them. Its the other people you really got to watch out for. --- Also, gotta tell you, this is one of the only play through I've seen in which you actually seem to know what you're doing. I saw so many people get killed by one or two walkers and after playing I thought.... what the hell? One stab and you're done! Really enjoying these videos! Great job!

Thanks so much! I was watching Ben Plays VR and he had a tough time in some situations. I think a lot of people forget to grab the head, which makes it 10x easier. But if you do get more than a few walkers, it can become overwhelming. I'm looking forward to later in the game when they have larger numbers!!

When I first bought this game, it was actually because of this one video, I loved the game mechanics, and gameplay. The different maps you could travel too, and the amount of the fun the game looks to have. I’m just now started the second game on my PSVR2, and the graphics are sick as hell. Unfortunately I couldn’t play the first one on a pc, so I played on quest, and the graphics were just what I thought every game looked like, but when I played the first few minutes of the second game on PSVR2, I was amazed.

VR has done an amazing thing for gaming. If this game was released as a non VR title, I'd wager nobody would play it because of how simple the premise is. But because it's done in VR and now you can be a part of the universe, well, that makes it almost brand new to us. It's a new experience and something we can get so involved in, and VR is advancing at astounding rates, it's like every time you go online, there's a new piece of technology built for VR sets. I'm grateful to own VR and grateful for how it's rejuvenated video games. Take an old game, Left 4 Dead for example, put it in VR and tweak some mechanics (Like how you can tell at zombies in this game and they'll actually hear you) and boom. You have an entirely new way to experience it.

I would love to play this myself, but im too big of a scaredy-cat sadly. I tried it yesterday and was doing the wedding ring mission. I didn't really give too many thoughts about the alarm thing but when the time ran out the city was filled with zombies. in the end, I never made it back to the bus and just quit the game being too scared to exit the house with the ring :(

Random Isaac Kind of. Everyone has the latent strain, it’s why you turn even if you die without being bit. That strain won’t cause you issues otherwise. Getting bit will infect you with the active strain and will directly kill you, then you turn.

its kinda funny cause at the start of the game in the cemitary nobody explores they only look for the bus cause at the start in the graveyard after killing the first zombie there would be a door behind you with an axe in a zombies head and a walker. the next door you find has a broken gun and some ammo.
