That’s how dark TWD World is cause who knows where is Ben’s Family is at, Alive Dead Walkers or Worse: Taken by Comic Governor who was really evil. Katjaa and Duck no longer have to live in an evil world anymore, another character named Tyrese from Rick’s Group lost his daughter to a Ben-like boy too, he didn’t need to mourn because she is no longer living in TWD World and he said goodbye in a bad situation.

It’s too bad Kenny never really truly reflected on his actions in season 1. His sacrifice at the end of season 1 honestly made me feel all his selfishness in that season was redeemed. But then in season 2 he’s doing roughly the same thing. No regard for anyone’s lives except the people he cares about and of course that puts him at odds with others. Season 3 it seemed like Kenny was stable again but that’s mostly cause it was just him Clem and Aj. As long as he’s not around other people he’s no danger.

I'm being honest... The first time I played the game I let him fall down and didn't pull him up. When I startet my second playthrough I wanted to make different decisions. So I pulled him up again. And then I came across this scene... He is what, 17 or 18 years old, away from his family and scared to the shits in this "Shit-Hits-The-Fan-Situation" and of course he makes dumb decisions, but he is doing them because he is doing the right thing. People shut stop hating on Ben. I was sooo wrong about Ben and it hurt me to see and hear all of this. At least Kenny ended it quick when Walkers came. I felt so sorry for Ben...

Ben and Nick from season 2 in my opinion are some of the best characters out of this series and, in my opinion, how the "screwing up, but keeps trying" kind of character should be written. Ben was always trying to do the right thing, but just didn't think things through. Eventually though, he gets more defensive and confident of himself, and even stands up to Kenny, the man Ben accidentally took his family away from and who now hates him more than anything on the planet. Nick was more defensive than Ben and was willing to stand up for himself, but his issues and mistakes were a result of past trauma. He wanted to do the right thing, but kept getting dragged down by his inner demons. I honestly wish both of these guys survived, but I guess everyone knows the golden rule of most gritty apocalypse narratives: "No character, no matter how loved he/she is, is safe"

Sometimes I wonder why on earth couldn’t we had just have a mixture between season one and two’s group making it all the way to season four or fifth final season? I think a mix between this group and the cabin group would’ve been great for a story but it was the same dumb formula each season. This amazing moment has always stuck with me, especially since this is one of the few moments where you can genuinely see on Kenny’s face where he’s thinking “hey maybe I’m even a little bit wrong in this situation.” Most of the time, it’s either Kenny’s way, or he’s pissed. This moment is already great for Ben, but man seeing Kenny actually receive this and think about himself, then seeing him “sacrifice” (season 2 be damned) himself for Ben after this is so satisfying for his character. Really great stuff, I miss telltale games like this, or really just good story based video games. The games industry at the moment definitely has some good stuff, but man at this point I’m looking way more in the past at games than looking forward. Moments like this will always stick with me; what a treasure of a game.

Except that Lee and Lilly didn't know the bandits were involved. Ben did. If he told the group about the bandits, they could have been prepared for the bandits, Katjaa and Duck might have still been alive. But Ben kept that for himself, because he was afraid. As a result, they were blindsided. And his refusal to own up to his mistake also escalated the situation with Lilly, indirectly getting either Carley or Doug killed.

Lilly kept everyone at the motor Inn which they all knew was risky because the bandits had been attacking since the St. Johns fell. All Ben did was prevent what was inevitably was going to happen. Katjaa and Duck were destined to die the longer they stayed at such a hot spot for the bandits to attack.

Lilly already told everyone that someone was stealing their supplies, but without evidence, nobody took her seriously. That's why Lee investigated in the first place. And they didn't "wait". As soon as he showed the bag to Lilly, they were planning to tell everyone. But the bandits showed up at the exact same time. And if you're going to blame Lilly and Lee for "waiting" before telling the rest of the group, then you should blame Ben even more about it, because he knew the truth for a much longer time than the both of them, yet he chose to lie to everyone. He could have backed up Lilly, yet he chose to let her be accused of being paranoid. Had he be honest from the start, Katjaa and Duck could have been spared. But by keeping everyone in the dark about his involvement with the bandits, he put himself before the group, with the results that came right afterwards.

When you've got proof, you need to show it to everyone immediately or at least the Co-leader Kenny. You keep telling me the same thing over and over again that it's all Ben's fault for hiding the truth when in fact, regardless of whether he was being honest or not, he was protecting the group from the bandit's attack. He should've had Duck fetch Lilly and since Lee sent him, she would've came to see what was up then prepared for the battle they weren't going to win against anyways. They HAD to leave! They were outnumbered by a threat larger then the walkers. Lilly's the reason why everyone was starving and was forced to take from the stranger's family. If he does tell them what he's been doing, what's that going to do? If they stay, they're going fight against the bandits who are going to be picking them all off one by one. If they decide they're going to give them their supplies in return for their safety which Lilly doesn't want, they're eventually going to run out seeing how short in supplies they are in the first place. All Ben did was delay the inevitable and through his dishonesty, only got Carley/Doug killed. Though Lilly mostly killed Carly over being called a bitch while Doug was by accident. Lilly didn't think the bandits were a bigger problem then the walkers. Kenny kept reminding her that those bandits had been bothering them for quite a while up until Ben's been giving them the supplies.

This scene really showed the kind of character developement we missed out on when they killed off Ben anyway at the end if Season 1. Can you imagine him and Kenny showing back up in Season 2, with Ben having grown into more of a badarse who survives till the end? That would have been awesome.

Sorry still don’t like Ben even if he hasn’t seen his family. He still got Carley, Duck, Khaaja and the homeless guy killed. Period he doesn’t know what happened to his family they might have still been alive. He did dumb things as well for example the risk of getting the entire group killed.

Reminds you of how much of a baby Kenny was being throughout the final two chapters of season 1 and well the entirety of seasons 2. Everyone has lost everyone they ever cared about and loved. I've lost two brothers in the past 4 years. I lost only 1 day of work over it for emotional reasons. I sometimes wonder if Katjaa would have survived if Kenny was there for her during Duck's final hours. She was a strong women, who deserved a better husband in my opinion. The one of reason within the family as well, meanwhile Kenny was literally an emotional rollercoaster, who was irrational and well dangerous at times. In spite of this Kenny technically abandoned her with Duck, hid from them, while in denial of what's about to happen to Duck. Basically Clementine was a bigger adult than Kenny in those last two chapters. Imagine if he was there for Katjaa and Duck. Would Katjaa have shot herself? She likely felt so alone at that moment, even if Kenny was standing next to her. That being said, I rarely side with Kenny, but would always make the right decisions when it came to his family. He hated me for it, but he respected me for watching out for Duck and Katjaa. Man maybe a coward, may act like an adult child at times. But he still had some integrity at least. It always makes me smile watching Ben chew him out for what should be so blatantly obvious to everyone. He is the one person who absolutely deserved it. He was basically just Larry, just not as old or bitter yet. I'm always glad to put a bullet in him at the end of Season 2 though. I always found it a fitting end.

This could’ve been a really great scene if they actually tried to do anything with Ben. “Give me a fucking break” and he’s literally the one who’s suffered the least. His death was a really stupid way to get rid of Kenny as well, with the way he survived not even making any sense.
