Everyone's reaction to Oak saying No to Clementine was hilarious but he's right, she would sympathise with Ben claiming "he's nice, he is my friend, we don't leave friends behind", even though Ben clearly did not feel the same about her since he left her to die and Chuck had to save her thus sacrificing his life. Shoulda stayed on business and dropped Ben though.

Ben did feel the same for Clem, but Ben's just not really built for the apocalyptic life. He's friends with her, but he's also a coward. Regardless I'm glad they saved Ben. Episode 5 is better with all of the characters

It’s not even that Ben didn’t care for her, he’s just flighty. When your survival instincts (fight/flight/fawn/freeze) kick in, nothing else matters but self-preservation and its different for everyone. It’s just the body’s natural reaction to a threat and morals don’t really apply in that moment, as much as it sucks to hear that.

I've always felt bad for Ben. It's easy to forget that he is a kid. And he clearly felt like shit for what happened to Duck and Katjaa. He obviously didn't intend for anyone to get hurt.

Same, always felt people are way too harsh on him and you can tell Telltale wanted people to hate him. Yes, he's incompetent but he's also still just a kid and carrying a ton of survivor's guilt. Was relieved when Oak pulled him up.

@@SailorMars768 Me too, that was my favorite thing Oak has done this whole playthrough. Most people would drop Ben just for edgy appeal. Oak made great choices this episode. I agree though, I feel like it's so easy to forget he's a kid because of how young Clementine is in comparison, but he's still a high schooler, and I'm sure many of us did dumb stuff in high school, mistakes are even more drastic in a zombie apocalypse.

On top of that, the game was released and marketed with you seeing them in mind so it's not *spoilers* per se. Don't lose the game's content just to "protect" the playthrough, guys.

Fun fact btw there are 5 different outcomes to the end of the episode, you can go with everyone like you guys did (which is rare so congrats) or each one of those characters can make their own decisions on whether or not to come with you (Christa/Omid won’t go with you if you hide the bite, Kenny won’t go if you didn’t side with him on enough major decisions throughout the series, Ben will go if you tell him to) or alternatively you can go all by yourself which is a cool aspect

Christa and Omid actually CAN come with you if you hide the bite. In order to get this to happen, you must: Save Omid on the train, and leave Clementine with him when you go to Crawford.

1:15 not a rumor, Chandler Riggs (Carl) got fucked over big time by the AMC production staff. He was told he was going to be kept on the show; even bought a house near the filming locations and transferred colleges to stay on the show. Carl was killed off immediately after. Most people believe it was a budgetary move by AMC, as Chandler had just turned 18 at the time, so child actor laws and wages didn’t apply to him anymore.

In regards to ben: we saw that the motor inn was constantly being hounded by the bandits, and lee even said something along the lines of "luckily the bandits haven't attacked for weeks", which means they stopped cause of the supplies they were getting. It is not Ben's fault that they attacked, he delayed them from doing so. Plus you have the fact that when lee was doing his investigating he left the gate open, allowing the bandits to walk in. You also have the fact that the bandits were willing to negotiate a new arrangement and then Lilly shot them with her rifle. So no Ben is not at fault for what happen to Katja and Duck

Playing through these games with ". . ." answers only and trying to get through combat without acting is one of the more unique ways to experience them. Certain sequences become pretty interesting with complete inaction! There's definitely a lot of replayability!

I really do recommend playing some other Telltale games, even with them being harder to buy, with like all of them not available to buy. I recommend playing the Batmat games and Wolf Among Us. The Batman games tell their own story and i think are great, and Wolf Among Us, takes the tales of fairytales and does it's own kind of story, kind of. Its based off a comic book series and there is a planned season 2 sometime in the future
