In the last episode, he kept saying “our son” like he was still too broken and stunned to personalize the child even after Michonne told him his name. He said “RJ” this time. ❤ Rick is back! (I agree with you about the hypocrisy of Jadis having the freedom to go on these little “confession outings” to see Gabriel and unburden her soul but Rick was being held captive cut off from everyone he knew with no affection, emotional support, or friendship from anyone.)

This was another amazing episode!! Well done in concluding Jadis's character arc and having Gabriel back, made Jadis story come to life. Yeah…..there’s nothing in the Echelon briefing that justifies what eleven seen the CRM do - bombing allies, abduction and false imprisonment, gassing folks randomly. The CRM is beyond corrupt! I’m obsessed with this show. Great reaction and analysis. Rick was always my favorite character, and I loved Richonne before there was an official Richonne. I can’t wait to own this series!! I haven’t watched the other doing-offs but this one has been excellent, esp for the Rick/Richonne fans!!

This was a cute episode, with great throwback moments, but it felt the closest to filler than any other episode this series. Still loved it and it pushed the story forward a bit, so what does it matter. Very old school TWD of them to give Jadis a backstory right before she dies tho lol. The finale is either going to be rushed or left open ended for more in the future in some capacity. Idk any other options.

What differentiates this season is that Danai and Andrew's hands are all over it directly. I like seeing their names under the "Created By" credit. I know that Danai has pushed back at/called out AMC, so I hope that they don't hold it against her and do her dirty in the future like they have so many black actors/writers. I hope they continue to let her (and Andrew) cook. Because they, along with Gimple, have given us some high-quality television. Now they just need to stick the landing (though I suspect there could be more).

I thought those portraits of Glenn and others were hanging in the home at Hill Top. Didn't they burn during the Whisperer War? I don't recall any significant scenes with Anne and Maggie so when did Anne paint the portraits?

Out of the cast Andy & Danai are the biggest advocates for Negan being locked up so I don’t see them writing anything like that. Plus so many in story events have happened that Rick will come to learn about, I just don’t think that is particularly relevant unless like you said Michonne is trying to appeal to him to get him to spare someone but it’s not on my bucket list. Negan is not one of our group so I’ve always been against the idea of forcing him into our main storylines

I mean it’s kinda a pipe dream or hope for this season even with them only mentioning even Daryl once so far. I personally thought the way they did negans ark and redemption ark was great we can disagree nothing wrong with that. It’s great to actually discuss a walking dead topic all my friends who did watch it were like millions of others that either stopped watching “when glen died” or when “carl died” they weren’t us that are still here still watching and it’s nice to actually discuss the topic. I do think it’s safe to say that we can agree Rick and Michone is the goat couple or at least my favorite couple ever on tv film movie.
