The guy who owns AMC who also was the one who told the writers and producers and the director to bring the show to an end... Seeing Rick at the 10 second mark just reminds me of the old school Rick from season 4 and 5. The Rick that protects Carl by biting into Joe's neck, ripping out his jugular vein, and spitting out a whole messy mouthful onto the ground. Or when Rick reminds Gareth of the promise he made him and then hacks Gareth to death with the machete with the red handle on it. Yep. The show will finally show us, the viewer, what it was like for Rick in the early years after he was flown away. He tried to get away and was very defiant and tried but I think your right- his will was eventually broken and likely became a high ranking official. I say that because at the end of the first teaser, you see Rick in all black. The teaser shot of Rick and Michonnes holding hands, Rick is in all black. That’s the current timeline. The pics of him in the crm jacket is much earlier in the timeline. We will see soon!

I am truly looking forward to his show. Ever since Lincoln left the show in Nov 2018 I have wondered what the hell did Rick go through where he was never able to make it back home. I suspect many of these shots we have seen of Rick in the CRM jacket is in the earlier years not long after he was taken away and the timeline is aligned with his recapture that we saw at the end of the series finale. He tried and tried to get home but eventually his will was likely broken. I suspect by the time Michonne reaches him in the current timeline- he is a very high ranking CRM official. Scenes of Lincoln filming earlier this year when he was in CRM black uniform and the last shot of Rick in the teaser in July leads me to think that. They are going to show us those immediate earlier years what it was like for Rick and then some years later in the current timeframe when Michonne is on the move for him. Can’t wait to see it! In the :13 shot in this trailer totally looks like rip the jugular Terminus Rick.
