Ich bin zwar erst 94 geboren aber ich weine, wenn ich das sehe. Mein Opa kam aus der DDR und die Geschichten die er aus dieser Nacht erzählt hat sind so surreal. Das hätte ich gerne auch erlebt...

Happy Birthday, United Germany, greetings from Sweden! One of my first memories are the fall of the wall. I was 4 yrs old sitting in front of the television and my parents in the couch when we saw some of these pictures on the live news and my parents where crying and shouting of joy! :D Now im crying too...

I'm Cuban living in Germany, I see this and I also cry for my homeland which is still suffering the same communist oppression and family division. Cheers for the Germans who managed to tear down such an oppresive system and rejoin their families

When I see this today - I'm crying, remembering the night I was sitting infront of the TV, watching this pics live. Couldn't be in Berlin, but my heart was there. Remember all the feelings I had in this night. This is part of our history and I'm proud that the germans in the GDR get it with their peaceful protests each monday. Hope, that history will recur, bringing peace to all places in the world that need it.

My German teacher showed the class this a little while ago. It’s stick with me since. I’ve heard this song plenty of times but I never knew it was made for and from this. He asked us what our thoughts were after the video, not a word was spoken in a solid 5 minutes. We were all shaken

Ich wurde zwar 2004 Geboren aber habe selber Tränen in den Augen das zu sehen. Es ist schön zu sehen wie glücklich und Friedlich alle waren. Für mich ist dieser Tag der Schönste der Deutschen Geschichte❤

One of the great moments in my youth was the fall of the wall in 1989 -18 years old new girlfriend (too be my wife) I felt the wind of change. I grew up in the cold war fearing the nukes... but all of a sudden it was all gone replaced by a belief in mankind.... and now Erdogan and Putin are talking war, fuck the dictators!

Because the Soviet army got its butt kicked in Afghanistan, their military was willing to support Gorbi in his policy of keeping hands off Eastern Europe--they weren't willing to send millions of troops into the Eastern Bloc to keep it in the Soviet fold. Kohl & Bush also played a role, & as a result, re-unification occurred with breathtaking speed...George, Canada

I feels the moment then, sadness, inconvenience, striving, and in the name of freedom they've gotten after the borders collapsed, they together so close anymore and be a completely brotherhood without any doubt at all. Bei dem Video kriege ich Gänsehaut... Auch wenn ich recht jung bin und das nicht mit erlebt habe, kann ich mir vorstellen wie es den Leuten ging.. So Momente, wo man einfach nur vom Glück überströmt wird und man am liebsten heulen würde, weil einfach alles perfekt ist.

I remember this. What a victory for freedom it was. Being older, I grew up during the cold war and the fears that went with it. The fall of the Soviet Union was incredible. The removal of the Berlin Wall was such a symbol. Freedom. If you never had it, the experience can be so intense.

We had Germans living with us in Pennsylvania (East) a few years before the fall. To see them realize their hopes was one of the most satisfying things and the lessons live on.

This was the best day for Eastern Europe,because this was a message for all countries from Eastern block that they can be free, some countries like my own, Romania, had the revolution flooded by blood but at least we break out of the russian influence

Damals waren fast alle Menschen auf der Straße...vergleichbares gab es zuletzt beim Rudelgucken zur WM in DE 2006...leider viel zu selten. Das Deutsche Volk muss öfters auf die Straßen gehen, für ihr recht kämpfen und ihren Triumph feiern!

Bin Jahrgang 92, kenn mich aus mit der Geschichte usw...aber wirklich vorstellen dass das Land mal geteilt war kann man sich dennoch nicht. Man kann es sich einfach nicht vorstellen was das für Gefühle sein mussten als die Mauer fiel. Man sieht ja deutlich im Video das alle Menschen am Jubeln sind, echt unglaublich. Falls hier Zeitzeugen sind, bitte mal kommentieren wie Ihr das damals erlebt habt, würde mich interessieren. Lese mir gerne eure Storys durch, was damals in dieser einen besonderen Nacht abging, was dies für Gefühle waren usw...und ganz ehrlich ob es auch einige Gibt die sogar sagen würden die Mauer sollte es wieder gäben. Bin gespannt ;)

Meine Mutter (aus Ost-Berlin) war 16 als die Mauer fiel und als sie mir erzählte wie sie und meine Großeltern das erlebten meinte sie „Wir haben uns die Bilder angesehen und konnten es nicht glauben. Wir waren berührt. Sind aber wegen der Menschenmassen erst ein paar Tage später für nen Nachmittag rüber. Der Ku’damm war damals schon langweilig.“ :D

Schönes Video, ich war 7 Jahre alt und erinnere mich noch genau daran, an die Tage an denen die Mauer fiel, wie ich wie gebannt vor dem Fenseher saß und mit meiner Familie die Geschehnisse verfolgt habe. Man war das schön! Gestern bin ich über die ehemalige Grenze gefahren, ein tolles Gefühl -jedesmal wieder!

I don't know what really happened in Berlin in 1989. But I know one thing for sure: the moans of Delphine Lassale under Lorraine Broughton drowned out all the sounds from the fall of the Berlin wall and from the fireworks!😊❤🌋💦👭

And I still remember the sight of family's, packing their trabi's up to the imperial, and driving to the west.. Towards the new world that opened up for them. Very powerful indeed..

Was sind das für Gefühle??? Wenn ich mir vorstelle daß ich heute (37 Jahre alt) das erste mal richtig frei sein könnte??? Mein ganzes Leben eingesperrt und plötzlich kann ich hingehen wohin ich will.Keiner hält dich auf...Einfach mal durchs Brandenburger Tor,heute kein Ding, damals ein Grund erschossen zu werden.Wer es nicht erlebt hat kann es sich nicht vorstellen.

Ich war damals nur 4, saß vor dem TV mit meinem Vater und habe diese Bilder gesehen. Verstanden,was vor sich ging, habe ich natürlich nicht. Und trotzdem verdrück ich jedesmal ein paar Tränen,wenn ich Bilder von damals sehe.
