Thank you for making me enjoy this song again. I have despised this song for over 25 years now. But this rendition is different enough from the original to be enjoyable. I was in college when this song first came out. I enjoyed it, as did apparently literally everyone else on planet earth. It started to be _SERIOUSLY_ overplayed. In one day, I heard it a dozen times. I woke up to my clock radio playing it. I went to the cafeteria for breakfast, it came on the campus radio station just as I was walking in. At lunch, I went to the quad, it was playing over the campus radio again. I went into a campus restaurant. That restaurant had a "video jukebox" - someone had just selected it and it started playing *AGAIN* while it was still playing outside! After classes, drove into town, yep, on the radio again. Went into a restaurant for dinner, yep, yet again on their background music system. Got back home, turned on MTV - oh, look, there it is. Turned off MTV. I was helping plan a party. I was in charge of music. I has asked friends to loan me their CDs so I could make a mix. I had a bunch of CDs in one of those big CD binders, with post-it-notes saying the loaner's name. The first one was just a dark blue pattern with a bunch of stars. I popped it in my computer to see what it was. GFDI, it was that freaking song as track 1. I nearly ejected the disc and threw it across the room. I have despised that song ever since that day. No longer. Apparently it only took 25 years and Annalise singing it to finally quell the anger.
