Years ago, my dad passed away from cancer days before I was supposed to see The Wanted in concert (it was also The Wanted's last tour in America before the break). I almost didn't want to go to the concert (cause I didn't know if my mood might ruin it for my best friend), but my mother and best friend insisted. And I'm really glad I did go, cause that day was great. For hours I just basked in the amazing moment I was having listening to the music live that was helping me get through that part of my life. I distinctly remember my friend going to sit at the bar (cause she was hot from being out in the Dallas heat) for most the concert, but I stayed in the crush of people just feeling alive. And then, when this song came on, she pushed her way back through the crowd to me, cause this was the song we had a silly car dance for and always put it on when we wanted to smile^.^ Now years later, to have the group that music comforted me to come back with this song, Gold Forever, etc. *for this cause* ...it means a lot to me. [One of the last things my father sketched before he passed was a butterfly that I intended to make an oil painting of... I think it's time I finally pull that canvas out. I'm going to make sure the butterfly is gold~]

I had the Pop Party albums that introduced me to The Wanted. I wasn’t a massive fan as a kid, I didn’t even know their names, but I liked their music. I listened to their hits on KZbin and now through streaming. It’s sad to see Tom go but the news of his cancer reminded me how much I liked their music and the past where I’d dance and sing to their songs in my room as a kid. I love how much fun everyone looks like they are having. 💞💞💞
