As an American whose great x 8 grandfather sailed from Gloucester in 1661, I found his pronunciation of 'r' at the end of words stands out contrasted with the interviewer. Not too terribly far from a stereotypical Connecticut old fashioned accent (where Puritan captain of horse John Ward ended up).
