Ok actually i started watching this video just to see young rami malek being adorable but... this actually gave me a lot of feelings :'( Kenny is such a sweet, kind character and his whole storyline with the dad adopting him and his dad kicking him out was so sad. The scene when the mom says kenny's parents won't take him back was so heartbreaking. A lot of people are saying this show is mysoginistic and homophobic, but I think, even as a lgbt person, this show is actually great. (This is my first time looking at it, I'm just waiting for more Mr.Robot). The dad, and other characters jokes are based off "negative" or seemingly "offensive" stereotypes, but the show still shows that those characters are good, kindhearted people. Sure, the dad is uncomfortable with Kenny being gay, but honestly that's just kind of natural. He doesn't do anything to actually harm him or discriminate him. He's the one who helped Kenny come out in the first place, and even talks to him about safe sex. He's an old school guy, he's doing his best. It's an extremely realistic show that doesn't put LGBT people on a pedestal, and again, as a gay person myself, I appreciate that so much. It's just like he said, "just because you're gay doesn't mean I'm treating you any different". That includes Poking fun at you like anyone else, even if the jokes are a bit off color. There should be more shows like this on tv today

My brother went through this and struggled so much with coming out and it really hurts to see this I don't know why but yeah.

Treating someone else poorly shouldn't be something to laugh about. Especially because the majority of the show has been a build up to when Kenny comes out and when he does it's just sad because it's taken the wrong way. I remember this show from aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago! I hated - HATED - the show! Michael (who plays Dave) was just exhausting, it was like he was trying to be funny when he wasn't. I noticed Rami (Kenny) and thought "Aww, he's cute!" and since Rami in all truth has the kind of face you remember, I thought of this show when I came across Mr. Robot recently. Now? I watch videos like this and forward my way through any episodes of The War At Home just to get to the scenes where he is :) And he is DAMN GOOD!! Fun fact: the show received largely negative criticism until Rami's character came out...then the show got positive reviews and the ratings picked up. Lesson is: Rami Malek is gold.

Rami’s character stood out to me the most because I like how well rami played this teenager who is figuring out what his sexuality is and I love the fact that he can pull of a performances like this.
