I lived in Stamford Hill back in the 1980s. It was difficult to engage with the Orthodox Jews there because they tended to keep themselves to themselves. But those I did talk to were solidly anti-Zionist. They considered "Israel" to be an idea rather than a piece of real estate. They are horrified at the atrocities being carried out by Israel and you'll usually find contingents of them on pro-Palestinian marches. I suppose it's possible that they are getting targeted because they are so visible but I also think it's likely that these are false flag attacks intended to draw them away from supporting Palestinians.

Just a thought: maybe if the media didn’t portray condemnation of Israel’s actions as antisemitic, it might empower the actual antisemitic people less? They might very well think there’s a lot more people on their side than there actually are and it might be emboldening them. And maybe the media should condemn Israel’s actions whilst you’re at it. I understand the need to be delicate so as not to give the antisemites an excuse, but I fear this whole shutting any criticism of Israel’s actions down with accusations of antisemitism might actually be feeding right into their conspiracy theories. I half-expected the examples given in this video to literally just be condemning Israel with the way the media acts like that’s antisemitic. Is that not a problem? That I’ve been taking accusations of antisemitism with a pinch of salt since the days of falsely accusing Jeremy Corbyn of it? If you want it to hold the weight it should, stop conflating the two things. And the other side of it, I imagine, the quiet approval of Israel’s actions, could also empower the Islamophobes. None of this is okay and more people should be saying that.
