The Russians have been buying more weapons every day. They couldn't afford it before the price of oil was pushed skyward by the Biden admin policies. And the people they are buying from couldn't afford to manufacture those weapons either. Now, they're all very comfortably 'rolling in the dough'. Missiles don't get rebuilt.

Recent report from Medusa media indicates that Putin's recruitment rate is down by 80%. Most estimates indicate that in the past 6 to 12 months, they had been averaging ~30,000 new contract soldiers per month, whereas casualties were in the 25,000 to 30,000 ballpark (perhaps 15 to 20k "unrecoverable casualties" [KIA, MIA, and severe wounds]). Russian casualty rates (according to AFU estimates, which are generally corroborated by multiple Western intelligence sources, though perhaps a bit inflated) have been increasing over the past 6 months at least (probably for the whole past year overall), and recently AFU reported a day in which they estimated 2,000 total Russian casualties. The problem is not a lack of able bodied people; there are still millions of them in Russia. The problem is that: (a) Putin is terrified to call it a war and engage in a mass forced conscription; and so (b) now that he has largely exhausted the 'captive' populations (prisoners, migrant workers, and foreign mercenaries) he has no source for more manpower than contract soldiers. The signing bonus for a contract soldier in November 2024 was about 5x what it had been in Feb 2022. Now that ~750,000 Russian casualties have been suffered, it is likely that almost every household in the Russian Federation knows someone who was killed, or wounded in the war and that means that there is more realization than ever before about what this so-called "Special Military Operation" actually amounts to: a meat grinder into which Putin tosses the common folk, expending them like toy soldiers at a rate of about 300 casualties per square kilometer occupied. Just in the past year, the estimated casualties have increased by 267%! As of 5 Oct 2023 Ukrainski Pravada reported that the AFU estimate of Russian casualties was = 280,470. As of 6 Dec 2024 that number is at 750,610. If in fact their recruitment rate is down 80% from its recent levels, that means that Putin's Orc Horde is now deep into the red in terms of maintaining force levels, much less growing force levels. This is extremely salient because mass and volume have been the key advantage that they have been using operationally to make all the progress they have made in the past year. Glide bombs have been a factor too, but in the absence of overwhelming numbers, Putin's forces will not be able to continue to push back Ukrainian defenders. Indeed, there have already been signs in recent weeks of the AFU pushing back in certain areas to retake some territory (not to mention the bold and completely unexpected invasion into Russia's Kursk Oblast back in August 2024, which still holds out to this day. On the home front in Russia: Inflation is in the 21% ballpark. A home mortgage goes for about 25% and that is with a 50% down payment. Understandably, there is very little activity in the housing market and the risk of major bankruptcies for real estate firms is high. This is true for all sectors of the economy which are not directly tied to defense industries. As a result of the refugees having fled Russia, the casualties among prime age men, and the magnified demands of the defense sector, there are massive labor shortages all over the empire and unemployment is in the ballpark of

The winds of war had been blowing Across the oceans of our earth Though not till Pearl had been bombed Did we realize what freedom's worth. I see a lot of brainwashed people who believe crap like this. Don't watch TV. See the world and decide for yourself.

@@Tati8796me too, a Russian speaking Trump voter who would defend Ukraine, but not their establishment. This war has to end one way or another, and every party involved lies. No wonder why nobody is sure of any info we get on this war. The interesting fact, we those that know the culture and know more truth from people on the ground would still bend our opinion, but these smarty pants on their warm couches would not budge one inch from their wrongly formed opinion based on their political ideology
