God is not mad at people for their sins anymore. I had to chuckle when he said ‘people are turning off their television sets’ because of that statement. But in reality it’s so liberating hearing f this. It was like a warmth came over me when he said that. It’s always great listening to Andrew. preach the good news.

True repentance is turning from your sin. It is an action you choose to take. David's repentance was when he had deep remorse for his sins. Psalm 51. If you are just confessing your sins then you are lukewarm in belonging to Christ! You are on the fence of God/world. Everyone can confess their sins but bring action to the plate. Turn...from your sin. Make a choice. Jesus blood was shed for salvation. He told the woman he caught in adultry ,"Go and sin no more!" Action! Don't be on the fence and be a lukewarm follower.

No. You need to look at Scripture's definition of repentance. Look at the parable of the lost sheep because Jesus said that "so does your heavenly father rejoice over 1 who repents" You also mentioned Jesus saying "go and sin no more" True! But don't you ever leave out the process and all that happened before that! For crying out loud that was not the first thing He said to her. He first said Woman where are your accusers? Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more. That's how it goes! You receive the gift of righteousness, no condemnation, then you really can go and sin no more because, duhh, you're righteous!

If God is mad at us Brother Andrew He would have to take it out on JESUS for we are the Body of Jesus Christ. If we are the Bride like Paul proclaims in almost all of his Epistles, Jesus took all of it (sin) upon HIMSELF on the Cross. Moses smote the rock twice when God said the second time only to speak to the Rock. Jesus is never going to be smitten a second time for our sin. We are not even in a fight against sin or against the world. The only fight I see myself in is the Good fight of Faith (JESUS) Paul and Jude both proclaimed it. Jesus would never put His Wife in a fight against HIS enemies whom HE has already defeated. I would never tell my wife to LOCK-N-LOAD baby, it's time to earn your pay, and neither would Jesus. I love you Andrew Wommack, I just started watching you on TCT. God is not mad, amen!!!!!!

Once you are saved, you must repent of your sins if you are having a relationship with God. You cannot keep on sinning when you know you are out of fellowship with God. 1 John 1:9.

Carolyn McKinnon .,,,repentance is renewing your mind...(romans 12:2). Constantly repenting of your sin will make you “sin conscious” and whatever you are conscious of you will have more. But we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16. Christ’s mind is not sin conscience but if we sin we should be sorry, thank the Lord for His payment for it and ask Him to help us not do it again

You cannot knowing that you are sinning stay in that sin. The word repent means to turn from that sin. There is no way you can stay in that sin and have a relationship with God. The Bible says to repent of your sins. That means you are in the world and will stay in the world. Makes you wonder what you did with the blood of Jesus. If you do not take your relationship serious then something is wrong! You can"t ride the fence and be lukewarm.

Hi, Carolyn! We are so glad that you have been connected with us through our KZbin channel! If it is okay with you, we'd like to share Andrew's notes on 1 John 1:9 with you! 1 John 1:9 (KJV) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Note on 1 John 1:9: "This begs the questions “If forgiveness and cleansing are conditional on confessing our sins, then what happens if we don’t confess our sins? Are they not forgiven? And if they aren’t forgiven, then what are the consequences of that?” The strictest interpretation of this would lead to the belief that if there is any unconfessed sin in our lives, we would not be forgiven. Although some have interpreted this verse to say just that, this certainly is not what this means. The word “confess” was translated from the Greek word “HOMOLOGEO.” This was a compound word made up of the Greek words “HOMOU” and “LOGOS.” HOMOU means “the same” (Strong’s Concordance), as in “homosexual.” LOGOS means “something said” (Strong’s Concordance). So, HOMOLOGEO means “to speak the same thing” (Vine’s Expository Dictionary). When we sin, we are not saying, thinking, or doing the same thing as the Lord. But when we confess our sins, we are turning from our way of thinking and agreeing with the Lord that what we have done was wrong. Our sin doesn’t separate us from the Lord as under the Old Testament (Isaiah 59:1-2). All of our sins have already been paid for (see my notes at Hebrews 9:12, 15; 10:10, 14; and 12:23). But as long as we walk in unconfessed sin, Satan has an inroad into our lives (see my note at Romans 6:16). We need to confess that sin, walk away from the thinking that got us into that mess, and agree with God that what we did was wrong. Then the forgiveness that is already a reality in our spirits becomes a reality in our flesh. This cleanses us from all the attack of the devil that we opened ourselves up to. Satan can work in the flesh of believers who have unconfessed sin. Satan cannot exist in the flesh of believers who have confessed their sins and understand and believe they are totally forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness. See my note at Romans 5:21. So, the confession of sins encouraged here is not for our eternal salvation, but to rid us of the inroad Satan gains into our lives through our sins. In a sense, Satan has a right to afflict us when we cooperate with him through sin (Romans 6:16). Confessing that what we did was sin and repenting of that action closes a door on the devil and opens the door to the Lord." - Andrew Wommack's Living Commentary Carolyn, if you would like, you can read more of Andrew's commentary on his free Online Bible Commentary here: l.awmi.net/2DptMKX. Hold on please, Was it PUNISHMENT or FORGIVENESS? Some people want to say it is both, but it must be one or the other. If a person owes a mortgage to the bank, that person has two options for how to own the house. Either that person can pay off the mortgage, or the bank can forgive the debt. If the person pays it, then that is not the same as having it forgiven. The same is true related to the debate between punishment and forgiveness. Either our sins were paid for, by Jesus taking the punishment we deserved, or they were forgiven, with no punishment. I love Andrew Wommack and all that God is doing with him and Charis :). This is the first lesson that has caught me off guard. I grew up Catholic and was afraid of God because of a focus on my sin. Since God has renewed my life by being born again in my early 20s, much of His reconstruction has come from learning that he is truly a good father, fathering me. From my understanding The wrath of God was not involved in the crucifixion of Jesus. -The subject of God’s wrath comes up repeatedly in the New Testament, which does not make sense if God took out all of His wrath on Jesus on the cross. It can be hard to receive an “ABBA” daddy love with the foundation of my restored relationship with Father coming from a place of punishment instead of forgiveness. I have received His love and my identity from the foundation of forgiveness and just wanted to bring it here - not to correct but to truly ask, which is it?

That is a great question, Sterling! Thank you for sharing with us your heart to understand. To answer your question, we'd like to direct you to Isa. 53:4-12. When we consider the totality of what Jesus bore for us and the depths of the suffering He endured we can see that the full penalty of sin was dealt with for mankind. There remains no more sacrifice for sin. The penalty has been paid in full. It was the complete punishment of sin upon Jesus that allowed us to have eternal forgiveness of sin. 1 Pet. 3:18 (KJV) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: Jesus had to suffer the full effects of sin and conquer sin, Satan and death in order to legally redeem us from the same. Jesus paid all the wages of our sin.Whatever that entailed, Jesus paid it. The scripture does not make a major issue of how this payment for sin was accomplished, so there's no need for us to do so. Suffice it to say that Jesus became what we were and suffered what we should have suffered so that we could become what He is and experience what He has. Since sin has been paid for, Paul can declare: 2 Cor. 5:18 (KJV) 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. God has reconciled Himself to us, meaning that sin is no longer a barrier. Jesus made one sacrifice for all men for all time. Those who accept that reconciliation (faith in His grace) become born again, a new creation. The only sin yet to be judged is that of rejecting this message of love. The Holy Spirit has been sent to reprove the world of sin (John 16:8). What sin? Jesus goes on to declare: "of sin, because they believe not on me." (Jn. 16:9) The judgment of God will indeed fall on those who have rejected God's reconciliation. That is the final wrath that we see poured out at Jesus’ return. The sin of rejecting Jesus’ redemption did not exist until after His resurrection. Thus, there remains a penalty for that sin that is yet to be dealt with. Andrew understands wrath to mean the full penalty for sin. There is no other wrath in God that we can see outside of His wrath for sin. God’s wrath has been satisfied because Jesus’ death on the cross dealt with sin and therefore, we are able to experience forgiveness through Jesus' blood (Heb. 9:22). The Law of Moses was the Constitution of a new nation, as the Jews had been slaves for over 400 years. God didn't want to use the Laws of the Egyptians nor use any of the ways they worship. So God walk the Jews around in the desert until not one of those that were in Egypt live. Then of the new group that knew only his Law would then go into the Promise Land and establish a nation. The conclusion is; the Laws of any nation you must obey or face a punishment. So when you teach that Jesus came here to give you relief from the Law, that can be debated, as for whatever Country you reside in you must obey the laws or get a punishment period.

Great question, Benjamin! We'd like to share a scripture with you as well as Andrew's commentary below: Romans 10:4 (KJV) 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Note on Romans 10:4: "The phrase “to every one that believeth” limits this benefit only to believers (Christians). To those who do not receive God’s gift of salvation, the Law is still in effect (see note 4 at John 3:36). Those who fail to believe on Jesus will have to answer to God for each and every one of their transgressions of the Law." - Andrew Wommack's Living Commentary Benjamin, if you would like to find more of Andrew's notes on this scripture, you can visit his free Online Bible Commentary here: l.awmi.net/2AxwhaC. Love you Andrew but have to disagree with you here brother! I am in opposition to penal substitution atonement theory with Christus Victor atonement ! In the Greek wrath does not always mean anger! It can also mean impulse, passion, etc. It was not Fathers anger that was poured out on Christ. It was our anger, our wrath! We crucified Him! Acts states multiple times “Ye crucified Him! ABBA was not on a cloud throwing lightning bolts at Jesus! 2 Corinthians 5:19 clearly states that Father was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. Folks, we crucified our Messiah!!

Then you wouldnt have that problem. with the interpreter that you just described. Curious because you say so many times how you speak in tonfues, and you just described a perfect use for it.
