@@davidtomlinson6202 styles make fights. I doubted Fury early in his career but he continues to impress me. That’s a hard one. Fury is so awkward and fights like a middleweight in a super heavyweight frame. I kinda do think he would be competitive with those ‘90s greats, just because styles make fights and his still would frustrate Tyson and Bowe, his size would give Holyfield problem (keep in mind Evander is my all time favorite, love that man lol) and late career Lewis under Manuel Stewart could be a pick ‘em fight. It’s all speculation and fun to debate but we’ll never really know.

He is overrated. Tony Tucker in the mid eighties could have got the win. Again, Lewis fighting someone past there prime. He said on the Joe Rogan show he fought a prime Tyson 😆. If you fight a man who was champ two years before you turn pro and then wait 16 years to fight him after he won his first title. He was a shell of what he once was and lost respect for Lewis actually thinking that. Not to mention he retired after Vitali Klitschko was beating him and had the fight stopped due to a gash on his eye. Knew he couldn't beat him and retired rather than risk another loss. That's who Lennox Lewis is.

Its not Lennoxs fault Mike had no self control so was in prison or suspended for 6 years. He retired at nearly 40 years old having beaten the man who would dominate boxing for the next 10 years or so having not trained for him. He was either even or one round down and momentum was going in his favour. Oh, and he punched half his fing face off. Mike couldn't dream f beating Klitschko in 88 with a perfect training camp, never mind at 40 years old having trained for someone completely different. WTF did mike beat exactly? There are so many boxers like that from that era. Tony Tucker, Oliver McCall... hell, even Mike Tyson himself could have potentially been a lot better than he was if he didn't have his problems with drugs and alcohol.

When tucker fought Tyson, Tucker was on his bike and when he couldn’t run he held onto Tyson. Now if Lewis would have fought the same Tyson that fought Tucker, Lewis would have lost to Tyson. Lewis Vs Tyson was 15 to 20 years later.

What fights they would have been, Tyson vs Lewis, if Tyson did not go to prison in 1992. And especially if Tyson had Kevin Rooney still in his corner. But even a pre prison Tyson, without Rooney unfortunately, still would have given Lewis all sorts of trouble.🥊

Wow, Tony Tucker really came to fight, and reminds us here how good he was. Makes the Tyson victory really make you appreciate how good Mike was too. this pre KRONK more svelte and mobile Lennox Lewis I have always thought was in some ways better than the later KRONK version. Even though I am a massive Emanuel Stewart fan, and that he did add some craftiness, I really felt that this style of Lewis was dazzlingly good. The unique Sugar Ray type quality he flashes in this fight and the Ruddock fight.

One of the questions always asked in boxing is why did so and so NOT fight so and so in their prime. Yes I would ask the same question. Why did Evander Holyfield not fight against Mike Tyson in 1986-88 when the latter was prime and Holyfield himself was prime.

menurut saya lennox adalah petinju yg cerdas memilih lawan, ketika melawan tyson udah terpaut usia cukup jauh lebih muda, begitu juga ketika melawan tony tucker, ketika melawan bowe sebagai penantang pertama malah menolak, mungkin tau bakal kalah makanya pertarungan itu tidak pernah terjadi, mungkin karna melihat bowe melawan holyfield membuat lennox mikir 2x melawan bowe, penonton tinju malah kecewa.
