i hope auggie isnt so broken so we get a more diverse player pool in s1, unlike in df s2+s3+s4 where it was just this cancer exodia spec with auggie, and i say this as a mage player

i am so so sorry but you need to come to terms with the fact that aug will always be in the m+ meta with a mage, and that sets the tone for the rest of the group too. might as well get a priest for stam and pi, oh and then you might as well just take a dh for chaos brand. then you might as well just take a druid because they can do all 4 roles plus bring vers rounding the whole thing off. this will be the case until they disable raid buffs in m+, or they stop allowing aug buffs to even affect healers and tanks. aug's personal damage will get tuned down MASSIVELY before tww launches, idk about its buffing potential

Appreciate the analysis, things move so fast in beta though so people should not go too hardcore doom if their spec isn't at the top right now. Marks hunter took what looks like three different nerfs to their multishot aoe and some of the weaker classes got significant across-the-board dmg buffs. With them totally re-arranging affixes recently it seems we're definitely still in the cooking phases.

ww didnt get a rework it plays the same, it just had some annoying things removed while it got gimped in other ways, such as sck not letting you use anything during its channel

@@Grimcookie_wow I never casted anything during spinning crake kick anyway and it plays fine so that’s minor. Happy that expel harm and chi burst are passive now. They felt so weak and bad to press. I missed WDP and it’s such an iconic ability. Overall less button bloat! The biggest change will be running more haste for energy since we into have 1 chi builder now which is tiger palm and energy/chi generation may be slower.

@@TopicxWoW I think the loss of Expel Harm as an alternate chi builder and lower GCD reset/combo strikes enabler feels pretty bad. The SCK ability buffering was cool tech but I agree it's not like, entirely necessary.

@@DantesBlowtorch most of your rotation was made up of tiger palm and then a spender. (SCK, FoF, RSK, BoK) Expel Harm & Chi Blast were only used once ever 20-30 seconds. I think that can easily be made up for with a significant increase in haste so you’re never waiting for energy to cast tiger palm. You will need an extra 1000-1500 haste I assume though. If we ever need to get beyond 2 combo points, you have to press tiger palm twice though?

There's a lot of comments that don't seem to understand why Aug/Spriest/Mage works so well, I'm not trying to be condescending but danm that statement came off that way lol. Aug/Spriest/Mage is defensively god tier. The tool kit to help each other live its so strong. Zephyr EM making tanks takier Ebon scales and blistering scales just for the augs externals makes damage Less spikey and way more smooth, VE and a good bit of self sustain makes the priest awesome, Mages Barriers and Aoe barrier is amazing. Frankly the dps of that comp is Good but not amazing. BM hunter out shines them hard so dose ret and destro but they don't doo as much for a group. The point is aug doing solo dmg wont do much to influence the meta more than aug existing cause it was going to be part of the meta to begin with. The meta doesn't affect 99% of us. To be honest it makes Aug a slightly more healthy class and more effective in midrange keys. You will be able to justify taking one in mid range keys, and this will make them more readily available to all. My biggest thing about all of this, Don't be so doomer about aug its a good class just cause its meta doesn't mean anything me any my team mates are sitting 3200 with MW/Ret/UH/Destro/ProtWar. and we do intend on pushing title.

After starting in Vanilla as a rogue, and for several expansions later as hardcore raiding rogue... when they introduced the RNG of roll the bones, on top of a 9 button opener! I thought balls on that... later they made the opener require less buttons, but now they add hero talents with more RNG, a second frikkin layer of RNG... wtf r they smoking? No wonder no1 is playing rogue, rogue is lost in the wilderness, deep in the jungle... It feels so bad for your RNG to fail on boss fights when you could do with a boost.

all these good performers are RANGE. blizzard just hates melees. season 4 and im playing main melee right now and some dung are terrible. tons of shit u have to move out, dont stand in cleave while the range just sit there and making dmg. i tried range as a twink and its so much easier. and with all these shiny effects like u beeing in a rave doesnt make it easier. 100% im gonna pick a range in tww

What is the purpose of going over dps numbers in beta? If the community stopped obsessing over the meta or which dps was gonna be the best before the game was even out, maybe they could just play a class they liked and have fun playing the game. But keep rerolling FOTM specs every patch I guess to keep the cycle of meta-slaving alive for a difficulty you don't actively play.

rogues are stealthed because almost all Hero specs are bugged or just not working, look at deathstalker bs. Ranged meta will always be the same with the same specs. as a player who started playing in DF i really hate this thing.

Mages are specialized to do DAMAGE. They should be #1 or fight for # 1 with the 3 other DPS classes which are: Rogues, Hunters and Warlocks. The problem with exodia isn't balancing. It lies in the fact that hybrids do not have enough utility. We are in a situation where Hybrids are competing with the BIG 4. When, Hybrids should be competitive with Aug.
