It's actually Darren Criss' fault lol. He had a new hair person on set, and was still new enough that he didn't feel comfortable being particular about his hair. We see more from him and his perspective, whilst in season two- we see less of him and more of Kurt’s perspective of him and Dalton. Kurt’s perspective was Blaine being charming and sweet. We simply got to know him more. I agree though, Klaine at Dalton was them at their best. 👏
